#LSU Nick Brossette is a great, hard working young man closing in on a 1,000 yard season after barely playing his first three years. He's had more adversity in his life than many of us combined. Some of the things tweeted about him + at him over the last 24 hours are shameful.

If I were to hazard a guess, it's a lot of people that bet LSU to cover, not a lot of LSU fans, that are harassing him.

People lost a lot of cash on his decision. They are mad.

Brosette has stepped in wonderfully.

People that tweet directly at players for anything other than to appreciate them are some of the lowest forms of scum on earth. I personally would never contact a player directly, but I get why people congratulate or thank them.

we have some sorry assed fans. nobody thought that they would beat Miami, Auburn or Georgia. they did and our fans are still bitching. A&M has four losses and LSU fans think Jimbo is the next Saban!

Honestly if you bet with money that actually matters to you, you are going to have a bad time. I only bet money I don't care about losing and if I win it's a bonus.

Agreed. I wish he would've scored but trying to tweet at him about this is crazy.

You think it's LSU fans?

80% of money was bet on LSU. Those 2 slides lost a shite ton of money across the US.

But people need to get over it and move on

It would have helped had we taken knees like every other team and coach would have done after his first fall, and then it wouldn’t look so much like it was just his unilateral decision.

EXACTLY!

I've lost a lot of games by teams kneeling inside the 10-15 yard line and I need 1pt.

By him sliding twice just turns the knife in your back.

First off, I'm a life long LSU fan. I was @ Ole Miss when LSU took a knee 4 times at the 1 yard line with 5 minutes to go and I 100% felt it was the right thing to do.
Now to this issue. I admire Nick for his hard work and dedication. My problem is with the staff. To me, the smart play here was to run the ball and try put the game away. With 1 minute to go being up 14 seems to me as a safe bet at putting the game away. If you are scared that your defense can give up 14 points in 1 minute against Arkansas, then you do not need to be coaching @ LSU!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if anyone noticed, but Brossette was bounced out of bounds on a previous first down play in that last drive. I'm sure the coaches got on him immediately about NOT stopping the clock again. Probably why it was first and foremost in his mind at the time.

Good kid, takes coaching.
