Dan McDonnell, Louisville

McDonnell used State to get a contract extension at Louisville through 2028 that pays $1.5 million, plus postseason, academic and other bonuses.

Are you a clown? You want Bianco? He’s been in Oxford 20+ years with only 1 Omaha appearance.

I can be a bit clownish, yes, but A) I didn’t realize he’s been there that long 2) I will look at facts when presented and adjust my mind C) take him off the list 4) I was trying to get a feel from the real gurus

McDonnell absolutely. Bianco would be another great hire. His roots at LSU and playing under Bertman for one, and the fact that he’s had success at Ole Miss is encouraging. Imagine what he could do with the talent at LSU. Not interested in the other 2.

I think he would jump at the opportunity to coach at LSU.

Until he talks with our athletic department.

He's already passed on coaching in the SEC. I don't know how Kentucky's State retirement plan works but if 20 years is much better than 15 years he's staying put 5 more years.

Pat Summit's son was the beneficiary on her TN State retirement. When she retired, Pat Summitt opted to collect a monthly benefit of $14,460, or $173,520 annually in 2012. That benefit, with an annual cost-of-living adjustment, is now collected by her son Tyler Summitt for the rest of his life.

Why the so much hate on Riser. He has done a pretty good job at SLU and if you see the financial resources they have it’s amazing the success he’s had

Good coach, but our fanbase would go apeshit once they got wind of his views on social justice.

I think Russ ruined Riser for many.

Pretty good at SLU doesn’t equal staying on top of the SEC like LSU fans expect

Plus the way he did Reynolds was embarrassing

I don’t think LSU is going to do much of a search when it’s time anyways

I want a guy with the following:
1. Good track record
2. Has energy
3. Not effeminate
4. Actually continues to coach kids
5. Has an attitude (not a whiny bitch)
6. Adds more chairs instead of bleachers
7. Makes Woodward a little intimidated when he walks into a room.
8. Avoids his gut and sticks with baseball
9. Influences what is sold at the concession stands
10. Doesn’t bang students

Might be a hard sale for a lot of LSU fans but Jewett at Tulane maybe an up and comer has the ties to Corbin and Vandy

Ok, so we are down to McDonnell, Tadlock, Schlossnagle, and maybe Brown. And everyone agrees that Ben McDonald will be on the selection committee. We’re getting closer, I can feel it.

Bakich isn’t one I would want. Everyone seems to be on him because of his run in the CWS.

He also has never had a losing season at Michigan since 2013 for a program that has been stuck in mediocrity. He has been to 3 regional including WS runner up last year.

He may not be the best candidate but he is a solid coach and much better than PM at this point.
