My only problem with this is the distraction is causes going into the playoffs. Maybe it motivates the defense to go all out and play for Dave in his final game(s) with LSU.

If he takes the job he’s coached his last game here.

those shite schools do not have the money to pay him what we do

UNLV will throw a lot more $$$ at him than schools on their level would. They're desperate to remain relevant out here, having lost lots of attention and ticket revenue to the Golden Knights and now, the Raiders coming here. They figure that they can parlay a big time coaching hire and playing in the new Raiders stadium into landing higher caliber recruits and more attention / fan support. They're in for an unpleasant surprise.

There is absolutely zero chance he leaves before the playoffs.

Look I completely respect anyone who wants to better themselves carrer-wise.
My frustration is that he has made a fricking commitment to this program and its players and at a time like this to even stick his head out to chat about a job is screwed up. You have a whole team, staff, and state behind you as a coach to do your job right now .... to go out and make yourself a distraction and quite possibly lose your players trust or guidance when they need you most is truly fricked up.

Maybe we're jumping the gun and I hope that's the case but why go hurt your teams focus at this time.

Respect takes quite some time to gain and mere moments to lose.

Steele has 3 first rounders up from we have zero. And we’ve seen Steele before, it wasn’t good. You people keep judging Aranda off of one year with 7 starters nursing injuries lmao. Now that we’re healthy he’s back to dominating but you still can’t admit you’re wrong. Steele ain’t close to Aranda and if you look at them fairly instead of using selected stats you’d see that.

My bad, didn't realize they were gonna play in the new raider stadium. I went to their game against boise st this year. 8 thousand fans are gonna have to try to cram into that new stadium that is going up. I bet that will look great on gamedays.

You’re kidding right? He takes a head coaching job he’s gone as soon as the ink is dry.

Considering LSU allowed 8.3 PPG in the 1st half of games and 13.5 PPG in the 2nd half it lends itself to be true.

Or that could be do to LSU being ahead by a lot in those 2nd halves.

Why on earth would he not coach the two most important games of his career and his players’ lives?

This. The idiots wanting to run Aranda off will be missing him badly if we hire a downgrade and the D gets worse than anything we saw this year. Of course they won’t admit it.
