Dave Aranda is, without much debate, the best D coordinator in college football...

Sorry to bring up old wounds, but after watching the final play against A&M, your defense sat back with a 3-4 man rush and gave the Ags a chance to get players downfield and into the end zone...

Max pressure with mtm d coverage would have been the only call to make...

No way to have enough time to get players downfield, and your DBs are excellent tacklers...

A TD would not have happened...

He made right call multiple times but when you have to win a game 4 times, you’ll eventually get beat

We're very aware of the lack of pressure.

Part of that might have been due to missing a few key defensive players.

RobbBob -

I didn't expect you to spell it correctly, no need to clarify... It's what you do...

DA was bringing both ILB before that, leaving the middle open.

It was a good change up, no need to leave CBs on an island given that situation and your LBs being gassed.

Mond made the right read and made a great throw.

Case closed.

I love Aranda. But IMO, he lost the TAMU game. Did they blitz even a single time in OT? Should have blitzed.

Less likely to blitz when you have many starters and reserves in the secondary out

I'd trust Fulton in man coverage on a blitz but I wouldn't trust Alexander

I actually agree. He went way too conservative all night against Aggy. It was a bad game, and it happens.

Hopefully he is at LSU for another 2-3 years.

Lol both defenses were walking zombies man. Anyone could have scored on a tired defense in the 7th overtime. Do you guys even cardio?

The game was lost on 3rd and four with 3 min in regulation. There should not have been an overtime.
That being said Mond was not nearly as effective when we pressured so we should have brought more men. DL being gassed is all the more reason to bring other pressure.

We did allow three consecutive 20 yard completions. Just like the end of two Bama games that come to mind.
