I'm looking forward to the new beer sales at TS, but buying beer from Aramark will be a scary proposition. Aramark is absolutely pathetic at selling concessions as is. Them selling beer is a train wreck waiting to happen. Longer lines and warm beer will probably be the norm.

After Aramark f's up this endeavor, hopefully it will give Woodward more justification to terminate shitty Alleva's contract with them and find a quality vendor.

I found this to be comical:
quote:

LSU's introduction of stadium-wide beer and wine sales includes several major logistical obstacles. Tiger Stadium does not have substantial enough cold storage, particularly frozen storage, to hold and keep cool the tens of thousands of beer cans that will arrive on game day.

LSU is leaning on its vendor, Aramark, to solve the issue. That's where the trucks full of more than 80 tons of ice come in.

As the number of beer cans run low in the ice tubs at concessions stands, Aramark employees will be restocking with beers retrieved from the ice trucks. Because employees will have to crack open cans and pour them into cups, the wait for a purchased beer is also longer.

I still don’t know why the university even outsources these types of things.

This is fricking dumb. The people in charge of making decisions manage to frick up every single thing. What is so hard about just handing a can of beer to someone

Never had an issue in the beer tents during baseball.......They will figure it out to maximize profit.

I know it’s cool to say “they suck” and they might.....but you better believe they gonna have as much Cold Beer as possible in that stadium

I’d imagine they don’t want fans throwing cans on the field. Now Aramark can charge LSU for the extra 300,000+ cups they’ll need to pour the drinks.

Beer tents on ground level aren’t the same as having to load up 10s of cases and fight service elevators and rowdy fans. There will be issues. Only so much bullshite someone getting paid $10/hr will take before they stop caring. They’ll make their $70 serving 100 beers or 1,000 beers.

Don’t know why they would suddenly change for beer when they run out of just about everything else

They don’t want anyone throwing full beer cans or bottles. It’s a liability issue.

They have ran out of water in multiple games. Maybe not everywhere in the stadium, but enough to cause an issue.

How do you not just up your order of water bottles? Should be simple.

The alcohol will no doubt take time to work out. Probably never with Aramark.

I don't have a great record with predictions at all, but I can't imagine Woody keeping contract with Aramark beyond this season.

I'm shocked Woody kept Aramark this season. This is on him. I'm hoping fans let him know about Aramark in the survey.

Beer sales should be done by in house personnel.
