No, the cafeteria style sucked
Yeah whoever had that idea needs to be fired… it took more than a full inning to get through the line.
Also, lack of beer options other than bud might and ultra except under the concourse sucks.

The "walk-through" beer selection wasn't great but they still had a mango wheat beer and lots of bud lite seltzers. The beer counter in the grand stands had a great selection.
Agree that the cafeteria style concession line sucked. It would be much faster if they had a fountain drink line and non-fountain drink line.

They let you bring anything but alcohol in there.

I gusss I didn’t look quite hard enough. I know for sure the little beer cart in right field on had bud and ultra.

yeah, they also moved the snowball rig over next to the left field landing and put a beer stand in it's place. I only saw Bud Light and Ultra when i walked past.

I was very disappointed that Burgersmith did not return this season. I tried the Burger at the Burger station on the concourse level. It wasn’t bad, but not nearly as good as Burgersmith.
Burger on the 1st base side down low sucked. Literally just a patty and bread and no much seasoning. The ketchup and mustard saved it.

Not saying you couldn’t but I saw them check for alcohol and kick people out for alcohol several times. Back when French Quarters had plain white cups it was easy to bring those anywhere you went. I sat by guy at the A&M super regional (I think) who brought a cooler of beer. He drank 2-3 before someone got jealous and told an usher and they kicked him out.

For me it’s about LSU putting out the best product on the field in all aspects. The team, the atmosphere, the experience (tailgating accessibility, concessions, facilities, etc).
With ALL of the tremendous cooks we have in South La, never understood not having local peeps "cooking for the masses"
Pastalaya/Jambalaya down LF line
Ettouffe & Gumbo promotions
BBQ
Couchon
Crawfish Boils
It could work with the right planning and just use concessions for drinks/snacks.

Yeah, the beer cart looked like they only had that. It was the coolers under the steps that had a larger selection of BMC beers/drinks. I'll probably walk up to the grand stand for the craft beer anyways.

As long as they still have cookie cake and lemonade they’re great to me

Yeah, bases were loaded and some were trotting over to get a pizza. Truly believe some are just there for the food selections. Totally oblivious of the game going on.

$10 fora beer! I thought there were laws for price gouging?

The soda, beer and Doritos were on point. I wanted a few more jalapeños on my nachos, so told them and they loaded me up.
Saw a few people putting ketchup on their hotdogs but that was the only odd thing.

Sadly there were no cookie cake or Leroy's Lipsmakin Lemonaide stands on the upper concourse this weekend. Those type stands were replaced with more beer stands.

Burgers and fries were overpriced, cold and nasty

I went to get Fat Boys Pizza on Fri and Sat, and both times the truck window was closed.
What time would be best to get the pizza?
(The grab and go beer was easy… $9 a brew though.)

loved the old box. I’d pick up an AM Mart sandwich and big gulp and walk right in no questions asked. They let you bring anything but alcohol in there.
You were doing it wrong.
The big 64 oz Thirstbuster full of Bud Light was a life saver out in Left Field.
