Living in NC, I saw the whole Russell Wilson thing first hand and cannot seem to get over Scott transferring. I believe he would have been a huge upgrade over Etling and that is my issue with Danny.

He may be a tough SOB, but damn, he misses way too many opportunities.

You are right, but you always seem to spoil all the positive threads our fans start...

If that game changed your tune on Danny I don’t know what to tell you, he played awful. He likely deserved 3-4ints 2 of which could have been for 6. The he takes care of the football crap is a misnomer.

You do realize that on one of those almost INTs the ball went past the defender, I think he got fingertips on it and right into Guice's chest and he dropped it. Could have been a pick six, SHOULD have been a coach and score for Guice. On one of the others the ball went past the arm pits of Sullivan which he would have caught in stride if he had actually looked for the ball like I've seen WRs forget to do on multiple occasions. If he did catch it he would have had a good shot to turn it up and possibly score because the defender had planted his feet and likely wouldn't have been able to catch him. On the other almost INT Chart did a great job of wrestling the ball away, but his initial adjustment could have made that an easy catch vs a fight.

It was still a poor performance by Etling, but his receivers aren't helping. The miss to Williams was horrible by Etling. It happens.

You gotta wonder what if Brandon Harris were still here. We'd see a lot more QB rushing and most likely better throws.

He still carries a stench of Leslie and Cammy with him. He isn't the type QB Canada would have run his O

If Brennan can't unseat him, we're gonnna struggle at qb for ANOTHER 4 years. Hard nosed guy. Thought than a Waffle House steak. Looks scared shitless in the pocket. No arm whatsoever.

With this OL he WILL get hurt at some point in the season and you'll get your Brennan wish. O's decision to play him earlier in real-time will look brilliant in hindsight.

I actually think he's developed some bad habits that will prevent him from being successful.

The lack of protection has forced him to start watching the rush instead of looking downfield. It's also causing him to try and escape too early even when he has adequate protection. When he does escape, he's trying to escape from the back of the pocket too often. That's going to kill him against fast DLineman.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills seeing all of this Etling love. This whole “but he’s tough!!!” is the same crowd as the “but O talks like us!!” crowd.

If the OL gives Etling time, he could throw the ball deep to Chalk or Sullivan or Drake and let them go up and make a play!!!

Brennan is NOT the answer this year. Hate to break it to you all but we would not have beaten Florida with Brennan. He may turn out to be great but he is just not even close to ready yet.

With the jets motions and qb runs if he can just improve to average throwing the ball we will be fine on offense. Imagine if LN is running the offense sat.
