Anyone have the Rocco's final count? Did it end at midnight? We break 100k?

stupidest challenge ever but if we're going to break it; lets ruin it forever.

I believe it was 68K and some change

I remember in 2021 and 2022 watching and being like “wow i can’t believe how many shots they’re buying”
we’ve just completely changed the scale
idk how they do this challenge if LSU isn’t in Omaha next year

Got a buddy that's an Ole Miss alum, and he's made excuse after excuse about why their record last year was more impressive.
Poor guy He is happy we're the ones to break it along with winning the natty at least.

It'll just be whoever has the deepest pocket next time. If Oregon ever makes it there, Phil Knight will just order 100K shots and it will be over.
IMO they should definitely make the rule that the shots have to be consumed there, that way it at least follow the spirit of the challenge I think. But it's partially for charity, so I get it.

That would require them legitimately caring about baseball, I don't think too many programs actually care enough.

I just picked a rich alum. So change it to Texas, who is actually good at baseball. You don't think some O&G bigwigs won't just come in and throw their credit cards around like Graves and Gordon did?

Not sure anyone is gonna drop $300k on shots just to say they did. Gotta have the actual fans helping out. Not to mention we'll just break it again the next time we get there because our fans actually care on top of rich alums dropping big orders.
ETA I do agree with you that it could end up an arms race similar to football faculties, I just think we care the most

68,888x5= $344,440 Rocco's made off LSU fans.

Hopefully LSU put it so out of reach that this doesnt become an annual thing. It was fun for a while but jumped the shark when the heavy hitters started buying thousands at a time.

206,664 really, but its still insane

This is why the Jell-O shot challenge started getting aggravating. I’m sure it’s meant for a good cause but whoever owns that restaurant just pocketed a bunch of money under the gimmick of “giving to charity”. He should give just about every cent of profit from the Jell-O shot challenge to charity, instead he’s profiting more than he’s giving away.
Are they going to announce how much they donated and who they donated too?

I wonder if this year's sideshow drama may have made it the last year for the challenge.

How is it a "gimmick"? Money is literally going to a charity.

Why? Everyone knows what the deal is before buying the shot. If you don't like it, then don't buy it.

It's basic math. $2 of $5 goes to charity.
$1.00 to local Omaha food bank.
$1.00 to local University food bank.
It's astounding that people are getting so worked over this.
