Sure, all the same idiots who always think second string players are better than first string.

Ask yourself, If Ed O is so good why is he at $600k and 55 years old when the others are mostly in their low 40's and making millions?

Hey do you know the Minn Vikings coach?? He was a DC forever and the man was never given a chance until now and look what he's done with them?? You never frickn know who's going to do what until it happens so I would hold these negative comments.

Hugh Freeze wasn't making much until he arrived nor was Gus and he just found a way to beat LSU with nothing. Coaches are sometimes found in the strangest of ways and I would watch a few games bf deciding coach O wasn't worth the time of day.

They may win 6 more games, but oline play has to get better or he's not going to win enough to get it.

I'm rooting for LSU to win. If he performs a miracle, give him 2-3 more years to see what happens. Recruiting won't suck so if it doesn't work out, the team will still have great players.

We fire a guy because he looks like 10-3 may be his ceiling but want a guy who may not be that?

Yep.
I agree.
LEs may be a better HC than O.
I like O as position coach and top recruiter.
HC?
No way.

Def don't want petrino, kiffin, briles, Kingsbury. I'd be concerned about prospect of over-reacting to off needs that we adopt a philosophy that sacrifices def success.

I like balance, while I'm not convinced he's a guaranteed home run I'd rather have Herman, charlie strong, maybe Jimbo or Patterson(who's shown willingness to adapt to his team's skills).

Still would rather coach o and GREAT oc hire --or Herman, which probably means we lose O and maybe others.

I read posts like these and I stop to think:
All these people are eligible to vote.
It scares me.

That's funny. I look at your posts and think the same thing. Actually they could do much worse than coach O.

Hope O does great this year and gets the job. If he doesn't, at least he got a shot.

Yes, I agree. We know he got wrecked as HC at Ole Miss. Later came on as interim coach for USC (after Kiffen was fired) - went 6-2 during that time. Now, he got up in front of everyone at the press conference and said he learned a lot from those Ole Miss days, and so far I've been given no reason to doubt those words.

Coach O is home grown, he's 55, and he has all the qualities that made Les Miles so loved and respected by everyone. The Tigers will play for him just as hard as they played for Coach Miles. Part of me feels that a plan for HC 2017 is already in motion. Coach O has certainly considered this too, but he's a team player and stepped up to be the guardian of our football program. He deserves the support of all Tiger fans NOW, and (like he said), the chips will later fall where they may.

It's a great day to be a Tiger.

Seems like he's going to have to go 7-1 for that to be a possibility.

Just like he said, one game at a time.

Bencoleman,
You are one of those I get concerned about when considering the wisdom of the universal franchise.
But you know that...

If Orgeron gets the job, it's likely because we won the SEC and made the playoff.

So yes, I'm indirectly rooting for Orgeron to get the job.

they kept saying yes they could
