The problem with Max last night was that he stuck in the 5-8 yard read and didn’t trust the line for much more than that. When he tried to, he got caught drifting backwards to get the ball off.

I do think there were opportunities there down the field, but he didn’t try it at all. The one that really comes to mind is the Boutte cut back 25 yards down the field on the same sideline Max was running to, but Max ran it for a couple of yards instead of the 20 yard pass with any YAC Boutte may have made.

I don’t know. Play him, don’t play him.

We know what this team is and he won’t make much difference one way or the other.

Nope. I just can’t help myself with some of the stupidity I’m seeing on the rant this evening. Of all the things LSU did poorly last night I keep seeing take a dump on max threads.

Anyone who thinks changing qbs last night was a good idea is a frickin moron.

Max was not the problem. The UCLA D/C was light years ahead of our blocking schemes. Give Max time and a running game and he probably throws for 350 and 3-4 touchdowns.

He had 330 and 3. Dude wasn’t razor sharp and the INT plus the behind the back doofus pass was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen but he didn’t have a bad game all things considered. Max has potential. I think with a decent OL and a running threat he could be dangerous. He’s not an nfl talent but he could really make some noise at this level with a little help.

Because that’s who he is
That’s who he was last year
Hunt Palmer and another guy who got to to see all of practice said coaches were concerned about him being gun shy and not pushing ball down the field

His 15+ yard accuracy is not good

Nussmeier won't be any better. Til LSU can fix the problems in the o-line any QB the Tigers start will underperform.

Not true. Nuss is better throwing on the run and making things happen off schedule

They aren’t married to max. If nuss was/is better it’ll be nuss. I’m sure they’ll exhaust all their options if the shite keeps rolling downhill and you’ll all get your wet dreams of any quarterback that isn’t the current one.

Max played well.

That backwards pass was actually a good play. He knew it was an open area and he threw that shite backwards. The dude has elite awareness.

Max made one bad throw the entire game and made the correct read on every play. A dude starting their 3rd game… that’s unheard of. but we have the dumbest and lowest IQ fans in America so….

dumb asses.
