Anyone else really want to see Nussmeier?

It’s probably too early in the year to start a QB controversy and last night’s loss wasn’t ALL on Max, but after all the off-season hype I really want to see Garrett get some meaningful snaps.
Granted, I’d be afraid to play him.. that offensive line would get him killed and might make him gunshy to start his career

I think the staff was scared to death Nuss would play well and then Max has his confidence shot. No way they were putting Nuss in for a series.

So? If he can give you close to what Max can and use is natural talent to make a few more explosive plays plus has a higher ceiling why not play him?

Max didn't play well but I can't put it all on him. There was literally no run game to lean on, the offensive line could block a pop Warner defense and UCLA was absolutely relentless with the pressures.
These are things that need to be handled because Max is going to see those looks until they prove they can deal with them. But in that situation the pressures of the entire game were put on a young QB in his 3rd career start. You're asking him to carry the team when he's probably not ready to be a one man show.

I don’t think Nuss would do much better. The offensive line can’t protect or run block. It wouldn’t matter if Joe was back there.

I would prepare for the future and play the young guys... I know Max is young but I wasn't sold on him after last season.. I believe Walker Howard, will be the one.. And also Stingley, should not be mentioned along with HB, PP or any other LSU great DB. Stingley, has more hype than production..

I would like to see a Nuss series and just let him scramble outside and throw. Super scramblers tend to play mind games with DBs.
