I admit it was tough when we had friends over during the regionals and supers and the rain delays meant I was all over the place looking at my phone and TV..

Then the CWS and she's like "YOU HAVE LITERALLY BEEN WATCHING BASEBALL FOR FIVE HOURS A DAY FOR A MONTH"

i got a pass father's day weekend but any other baws have any suggestions to make it up to your spouse if she's not into the games?

I guess maybe some flowers and then I'll fold some clothes or something.

She was only interested in the Skenes TN game because she was like 'WHO IS THAT HOTTY?" I was like "I know, right?! He's dreamy!"

You might want to bow out for the rest of the games for the good of your marriage.

My wife of 12 years understands the commitment, but when I'm streaming a McNeese St game at the restaurant in the middle of the week she starts to get annoyed, lol.

Actually the opposite. The farther along the tourney gets the more interested she has become.

I'm lucky, my wife is the one that got me into LSU baseball. She is screaming at the umps and pacing around in tight situations all game.

My husbands been out of town this week and we’ve texted back and forth during every game. We’ve pretty much only communicated in gif form this week

Mine actually got MORE into it last night.

ETA: This thread is very comforting to know I'm not alone in the effort to maintain the peace.

my wife is a "fringe" fan. she stops to look at the tv from time to time. especially when i start cheering/yelling.

but, for the most part she isn't paying attention. Last night i said " this has been a stressful week".

She's like "tell me about it".

Apparently my stress causes EVERYONE to stress.

Hope she’s good looking bro.
My wife learned what a strike was two weeks ago.

Fast forward to Tuesday & she’s texting me umpire memes.

Now she’s jacked about watching Skenes pitch again. She’s watched the whole World Series with me 9 innings every game.

Mrs. Rabbit loves Tiger baseball and wants to be updated on the score when she's busy doing something else, like making me a sammich.

Pix available on request.

we were out at a place called "Tailgate Brewery" last night and they have a huge outdoor area and a massive outdoor screen showing the game..then they switched it to some GAY arse SOCCER.

i tried to get them to change it back but apparently this is the local soccer club meet-up place.

anyway, long story short i had to prop my phone up on the table to watch and she was not totally pleased as I was nodding my head and smiling but staring at my phone the whole time.

When I told my wife we were gonna have to play again tonight I apologized, but then she said it was exciting and not a problem. I was certainly relieved. That being said, she will sometimes show a little bit of interest and then I try to talk about it too long and she just says "I'm not that interested."

Lol, yea here in Dallas I don't frick around with bars unless it's a LSU friendly bar. I just offer to grill at home or tell her "let's plan on eating at this time and you drive back so I can watch the first part." Helps having young kids because we eat early like old folk.
