I just went to Auburn board and those guys seem to think that he might be the answer. I hope he does great he has a damn cannon of he can move in the pocket and work on for with he can do anything with the ball that doesn't involve running. But he is big so obviously hard to sack like jamarcus russle and a little more nimble I think. I hope he doesn't come bite is in the arse. We just need a more nimble QB and have a full room

They have a rough first month of the season so TJ may be starting sooner than later

September
vs Akron
vs Alabama State
at Penn State
vs Georgia State

Not terribly difficult considering Penn State was 4-5 last season

Finley got really bad advice going to Auburn. Every kid wants to believe they are the best but very few can say they were. Nix will start this year and likely next year unless he improves a ton to go pro. Jordan Palmer picked him as the top pick next year while others have him as a 6-7th round guy at best. I don’t think he is good enough or has a good enough cast around him to go pro after this year. So best case other than injury Finley is a junior and beats out the other QBs at that time in 2023. You know they’ll have other recruits and possible transfers at that time too.

He probably should have picked a school to get ahead and start this year or next year with a more likelihood chance than Auburn. He was too hard on to play in the SEC but he isn’t that caliber of player in my opinion.

He sucks. He'll end up somewhere like Troy St, ULL or Tulane.

He is not near as nimble as JR. Jamarcus could move in the pocket and was actually pretty fast once he got unwound. TJ is a statue. It was painful watching him try to scramble last year.

Tulane, UAB, Southern Miss, South Alabama, Houston, Rice, Troy… all better options and he could have played quickly.

I agree with this kinda but I think Finley is capable of being faster then he was last year he never really made a dead sprint he kinda jogged everywhere and didn't tuck and run all out when he had the opportunity. He wasnt fast enough to stroll/jog until he sees a crease and he always got hit instead of hitting someone or falling forward he needed to tuck and go and he never did. I think that was him having his head spun and really playing on the fly not nowing plays or being comfortable/confident.

We will see, I hope he does great (I think Nixon is awfull) and falls flat on his face when playing LSU

agreed. After you give it a shot at a big-time football school, it's usually best to go to a smaller school where you can virtually guarantee starting.

Justin McMillian did that at Tulane and got to throw the ball a lot for two years. Narcisse too, at UTSA.

The hate for tj has always confused me. He came in as a freshman and played good and won his first two starts. By the time he’s a junior or senior he will be a good player at auburn. He’s gonna get better. He had the best first start I can remember at lsu

He was better than burrow against Miami and better than Brennan vs state . Way better than Harris vs auburn better than Jordan’s first start better than lees and mettenbergers , Flynn’s, maucks

Tj has the size and a to be much better than a Justin McMillan. He did the right thing and should receive good coaching. He’s got an nfl arm and size. He needs to get coached up and will then have a chance to play in the nfl . That’s why you don’t go to Tulane if you are as gifted as he is.

It’s crazy that people act like he won’t get better after his freshman year. I mean is it really that low iq ,football wise, around here?

Hold up, you think burrow played better against miami than tj did against South Carolina?
