Nah man. I knew burrow was legit vs Miami. Lmfao with no coaching by LSU this dude came to town and started calling audibles at the line of scrimmage game one I believe on first drive. I was like wtf even the players were like umm ok they were not used to that. He saw the looks if he didn't like it he changed the looks. It's brutal how ancient our QBs have been but burrows first year was insane. The amount of drops, a new team lack of timing. He was outstanding for his first game and season stats don't do him justice.

I will say finely can sling it and if he can get rid of ball fast and develop some chemistry he will be great

dude was a one off, still, for the life of me, and I've read all of the stories/excuses, don't understand how Urban Cryer fricked that up, but I'm glad he did

It had a lot to do with drops and our offense , but I mean, it’s not debatable who had the better stats

Tj was 17-21 for 265 with 2 tds and 1 pick

Burrow was under 50 percent. I’m sure if he was running the offense tj ran then he would have played better than he did.

I’m just trying to explain to this dude that tj played incredible for a freshman in his first two starts and stats will say it was the best first two games in lsu history

Good grief, you don't even know the order inwhich the games were played. Stop making yourself look stupid.

Did we not play South Carolina then Arkansas and then we lost to auburn? I may be wrong, but that’s what I was saying, he was good in the first two starts then bad against auburn

You can’t say he wasn’t good in those two wins though and the stats were good as well.

The whole point was you laughing like I was an idiot for saying he was better in his first start than burrow was in his first start.

Idk why people refuse to acknowledge how good he played in that game. Burrow obviously had the better season but for a freshman that was a great surprise performance

Burrow was 11/24 for 140 yards qbr 85.3
Tj 17/21 260 2 tds 1 int qbr 91.8
Myles b 27/46 345 3 tds 2 ints qbr 45

I can go on with other qbs stats for first starts

You’re correct! The game plan and production by the run game were big factors as well.

Yeah I agree TJ had a great first game and honestly a great first season for a true freshman getting thrown in the fire without the reps he was supposed to have during off season adding in covid then Brennan was obviously the man and getting majority of reps with two incoming freshman fighting over table scraps. He did good and I agree he is an sec QB under right circumstances

I mean, I even made it easy and posted the stats , but I’m the idiot because I forgot that auburn was in between usc and ark

Literally posted that he was rolling on the floor laughing at me for saying 17-21 for 260 and 2 tds with 1 int is better than 11/24 for 140 and not even having a second half completion . Then he throws in even more laughing for saying that a qbr of 45 isn’t as good as a qbr of 91

But I’m the idiot

Tjs issue is not knowing what a covered receiver looks like vs a zone defense.

Play man against him in a couple years and you will get shredded , especially if he tightens up his footwork and as a result has better accuracy.

I’m not sure if he ever figures out the zone defenses though

* Feet of Granite.
* Can"t read Defenses.
* Poor accuracy, touch and situational awareness.
* Known learning disability.

Yeah, he gonna play at Auburn.

He only be a Sophmore, so I presume he could improve with the right Coach and Offense.

TJ had a solid game but he faced almost zero pressure all game, his receivers played perfectly (0 drops) and wasnt having to make many tough throws. PFF graded him out at only a 66.9 that game which is just "good" or above average really.

They gave him a 89.7 grade against Arkansas where the stats didnt pop nearly as much as the South Carolina game overall. Sometimes you have to look beyond just the raw stats.
