He played his 4 and will now sit out so he can transfer and play somewhere else next year assuming he graduates.

In todays environment this makes perfect sense. Wish him well.

Pretty sure this was his 5th and final year of eligibility since he already redshirted in 2015.

Again, and this means he should get playing time??. He's the worse running back in the 4 back line up.
Sorry, You have to earn your spot to play.

Why feel bad for a guy who has gotten to play for the Tigers and will graduate this year with a degree.

How many other kids would love to be in his shoes?

So he stuck it out as a walk on for 5 years and left the team midway through his last year.

He was not a walk-on. He has been on full scholarship.

I think he's saying that Fournette has a right to be upset. Obviously the best players have to play.

If I were him I'd finish this ride and have a win (or two) over bama and a Ring then rub it in his idiot brother's face!

Ah, so now we are a merit based football team? Play the walk-ons! They bust their arse!

I think the point was that there was no reason to be insulting to little Fournette, not that he deserves to play more (which in fact he may because none of us know what goes on at practice).

I feel bad for the guy. he's obviously talented enough to play on a lot of teams. but he wanted to be a tiger. hope he has some good moments left in this season.

He's played a lot of football and gotten a free degree from LSU.

I don't feel bad for the guy one bit. I'm sure he'll go be his brother's business manager after this or something.

I think fans are not adjusting to the new transfer rules. Lanard may be working his arse off, but he also may know that his best chance for a future in football is to transfer because of our talent. It doesn’t mean he hates LSU or is pissed.....but fans on this board will fight amongst themselves which turns into bashing the kids. Try to be as mature as the younger guys it’s affecting.

I think Lanard probably realizes he isn't a professional.

If he was smart, his best bet would be to redshirt, graduate, transfer to Tulane and get a graduate degree for free.

This is his 5th year so if I'm understanding correctly that is not an option unless he gets a medical redshirt.
