When will this become a non issue?
I can go to the local gas station and by THC drinks.
NFL will probably freak out; all the while allowing woman beaters to play.
I’m team AR.

You can beat your wife at a local gas station too.

Classic hypocrisy of the NFL
"hey you can't smoke that relatively harmless plant to help you relax. Here, choose what you want from this buffet of addictive painkillers"
They're all about player safety though

Probably had a medical card in Florida and then gets drafted to a team in a medical and recreational illegal state. That’s tough.

Everything comes from plants/earth. Name one drug that isnt using ingredients found in earthen mass.

It's a misdemeanor ticket. Dumb as F but this is America where a lot of things are still arse backwards.

I didn't even realize cops still arrested people for that.

Indiana is one of the few states where it is illegal!

Even in states where it’s still completely illegal, a lot of those places still don’t make arrests for it anymore. They just issue citations

It's kinda different in that stuff like cocaine/heroin use the plants as ingredients to synthetically produce a separate drug rather than just the plant itself like weed.
Like if you chewed on a coca leaf you might get roughly a coffee level effect rather than a cocaine high.

The officer, according to his statements, observed the smell of marijuana in the car. According to the affidavit, Richardson admitted to the officer that he had smoked marijuana in the vehicle to avoid smoking it at home around his children.
Richardson was asked to exit the vehicle and was detained in handcuffs, the documents state, while officers searched his Dodge Charger. Officers stated they found a small amount of marijuana and 500-milligram THC-infused gummies in the glove compartment. The items were confiscated by police.
Richardson ultimately was allowed to leave without being arrested but received a citation for an expired registration and a summons for possession of marijuana.
The prosecutor's office officially filed the charge Monday, according to court records. The case is currently scheduled for a bench trial on Jan. 4.

This is a stupid charge, but why can’t he just wait until they go to sleep and go smoke in the backyard?

I’m not saying he is telling the truth or not, but around his children means awake or sleep.

Was he asked to do a field sobriety test?

Yep, it's officer discretion here. You won't get arrested unless you're an absolute dumbass.
