Are they at a point where the coaches/leaders on the team can have a team meeting and set an opt out deadline?

I get that the new culture in college football is “me first”, but everyone that opts out at this point is severely impacting the rest of the team.

I’m getting there myself. I care less every day. This year has defeated me

3 or 4 opt-outs out of probably 100 kids and O has “lost the team”

Not to mention stacking recruits

Chicken little syndrome at its finest

If Shelvin opts out, he'd be the 6th or 7th opt-out/transfer in the past 2-3 weeks. That, along with our mass exodus to the draft, isn't ideal. I don't think O has lost the team but this is pretty shitty regardless of how you want to spin it.

Shelvin and Chase are obviously players that will get drafted fairly high and get the nice contracts. For some reason LSU has a history of watching underclassmen declare early only to go in the bottom rounds or not even get drafted. I’m sure they see the draft grades but evidently family matters / finances get in the way of rational decisions.

It’s a pandemic and questionable season, and people always transfer around camp when the pecking order starts to shake out.

Get a hold of yourself.

He said chase was gone and he is. Why do you think that?

Idiot fans you mean?

What you posted is irrelevant to the point.

Several players. Including Kary Vincent, Kardell Thomas liked tweets from guys like Chaisson and Clark criticizing O.

I'm not saying Clark made Chase quit nor did the protests.

However clearly some guys feel some type of way about Coach O complimenting Trump. Even if its small it's enough to end the one team one heartbeat unity we had last year.

I'd like to hear what Coach O says about all of this.

Right now this is just a case of we dont have a lot of hungry upperclassmen on the roster after what happened last year. Win it all, have arguably the greatest season ever, and this group of leaders, or players you would consider leaders, have very little drive to play in 2020. Gonna be a lot of young guns take on leadership roles this season, and 2021 will be the year we can look forward to.

Yes, he could drop from the 1st or 2nd round, especially if he puts on a lot of weight (which has been an issue even with coaches being on him to keep him motivated). It's more of a risk for him.

This would truly be awful for the defense.

We can survive Chase but losing Shelvin would really hurt.
