Agree with him. Had the rams lost they would be chirping about the face mask. Either way certain people on the losing side are always gonna try to put the blame on the officials. I don’t get it. players make mistakes, and refs make mistakes. I’ve never been one to put my teams loss on the officials. I can’t bring myself to do it. It’s a cop out.

Alright LSU/Saints fans. Here’s a test of your loyalty.

this is absolutely idiotic.

I disagree completely with Whit here but I still love LSU.

Its not a hit on my "loyalty" because I disagree with the statement of a former LSU player.

What a terrible statement.

Just because he went to LSU doesn't mean I have to be okay with his team being the beneficiary of a shite call against the team I root for.

Especially when his owner is one of the biggest pieces of shite around and schemed with the league office to break their own rules in order to leave the city I live in.

frick everything about the Rams and Stan Kroenke. Right now that includes Whitworth.

you are wrong here Boom, this isn't a ref mistake.

This isn't a blown call, 3 guys were in 5 feet of the play, the entire planet saw PI.

You cant group this play as a typical blown call play and call it a cop out. Thats ridiculous.

To me blaming the refs is like the guy who always blames someone else for any issue he has its never his fault. That’s how I see a ref blamer.

Not wanting to admit that we got beat it was always because of someone else.

I actually agree, I never play the ref card, but this is absolutely different. This isnt a blown call or a missed call.

This is the same thing as an NBA player getting tackled doing a layup but the other team to stop the clock and it not getting called..

This isnt a blown call.

He's not obligated to be a Saints fan. Good grief.

Considering the time left on the clock and field position, that call directly changed the outcome of the game.

But why are you privileging one play over another? Or when does a game shift into "directly change the outcome of the game' mode?

If you want to 'undo' one play why stop there?

I mean what is he gonna say: "Nah, I totally believe the Saints got robbed- and we have no right to be in the Super Bowl. I hope we lose."

Of course, he's wrong- and he knows it. But he's not going to say it.

If I was in his shoes I’d feel the same way.
No problem with him being vested in his team.

helmet to helmet to a defenseless player is over the line.

grazing a facemask is not over the line.

whitworth wants to say we can go tit for tat on this and that.

but you cant go tit for tat on this and that when one of the calls is a player safety issue and ALL the other calls are not player safety issue
