I didn't notice it until now, but I do admit it is quite unsightly. Considering it wouldn't take but two banners to cover it up, I think we should do something about it.

How would a decent architect miss that?

I like the idea of banners. Anything to cove up the west upper deck would be appreciated.

Maybe they can paint it or re-sleeve it do it won't be so unsightly when the banners are not up.

BTW, I love the preliminary drawings of the plaza and the new TS windows came out well. Stadium looks much better.

Sometimes during construction the crew has to improvise. If this is a copper pipe with a PVC Jacket to prevent freezing it is probably a water pipe. The elbow looks like it could be a wash-out of some kind so it is possibly something that can not be covered up with-out allowing access. Many time architects and engineers miss these things or intend for them to go somewhere else and when the crew is on the job the plans do not always work out.
This is a great opportunity for LSU and LSU fans to honor the Tiger Greats of the past as well as Great teams. That said cover it with a banner and call it a day.

How about waiting until the project is complete before critiquing the design and construction of the finished project?

Nah. Way too rational.

Maybe we could just paint Scotty Moran's name on the pipe instead of on a great big entrance sign.

Someone should intervene. The second guy from the right isn't wearing his hard hat.

Auburn does a good job of hanging a big AU logo banner on either side of their upper deck if I remember correctly. At least they did in 08. We could do something similar and it would successfully cover the pipe.

That's what I was thinking, or just some sort of shroud around it, heck vinyl if necessary, that is in line with the color and texture of the surrounding structure - almost any effort to conceal it would be an improvement.

yes, its odd that he would consider the pipe part of a project that is still going on...
