re: Les Miles Considering Allowing JJ to Talk to Team Before Bama Game

He is gone. I wish he could be more than a fourth string backup for a Canadian Football League
He could have, the Bucs wanted to work him out as a receiver but he told them no because he is a QB. Then the coaching staff laughed and cut him.

Good post
Thanks, I worked with kids for 6 years and have seen how toxic individuals ( in those cases parents) can have negative impacts on a child development as a productive citizen. It is very upsetting to see young people have such bad examples to follow, why would a judge want to court mandate someone who has shown himself to be a poor example.
A friend of mine asked me in response to the man that killed his girlfriend and mother of his child and stabbed his daughter ( who is now blind due to injuries). How can a parent do this? My response was he was never a parent, he was a genetic donor.

You are basing your opinions on what he did or didn't do on the field.
We are basing our opinions on the evidence that is available to us.
JJ has never taken responsibility for his poor performance on the field and the actions off the field.
Examples:
1. Following Vandy game 3-13 passing 26 yards 2 ints 0 TD- Every great QB has a bad game.
2. Following Shady's incident
When can I get my shoes back
I will come back to take what is mine
Various other quotes that a good PR person would cringe at.
3. Following championship- we just could not block tonight
4. Bucs training camp- when asked to work out with receivers. I am a QB
This guy has a clear track record of poor decisions and a distorted view of himself and his abilities. He has been willing to throw his teammates under the bus to deflect scrutiny from himself ( sign of a bad leader). The best questions to ask yourself when evaluating JJ- If my life is on the line would I trust him? Would you go into battle with JJ? would you go into a fire with JJ? would you trust JJ to back you up?
My answers are all NO!! based on the information at my disposal.
I really hope that this judge is one that we elect so we can elect someone else.
JJ does not understand when he does something wrong, therefore he can not be an example for someone else. He must first learn from his mistakes.

We are fine just like we are. We do not need to erect statues of championship coaches, this act puts the coach in a higher regard than the program. No coach or player should ever be above the program. ( same feelings for Shaq statue)
We do not need to claim a title whenever a BS poll says we are champs. AP and Coaches post 1950 is what 95% of all division 1 programs claim when rewarded ( any thing before 1950 is had so many regional polls it was chaos)
Finally men waving pom poms is just silly. ( would use another term but that would be insensitive)

The problem LSU had in covering these two most of the game had to do with them being significantly taller than the corner trying to cover them. That corner smoked weed and got kicked off the team. His replacement is 6'1". McCarron will not be able to throw those high passes with the same efficiency with Mills or Collins in coverage.
I will be running a projector 9 foot screen ( not quite as large as the original posters screen) and 3 32 inch tv's on the parade grounds. Will have the projector on LSU/ Bama along with one 32 and the othe two tv's on Oregon/ USC and K State/ OK State
re: When is the last time we had "no shot"
Posted by OXID11 on 10/31/12 at 1:28 pm to tigerbru17
93' Bama and 97' Florida. We did pretty good for having no shot.
No, we lost because our receivers could not catch a ball and Alex Hurst was so damn impressed with the DE he was assigned to block he forgot how to play big boy football

Yeah, I understand that, but again, people need to let it go, it's old and tired
Just pointing out that it is not quite as simple as him taking an NFL job. Remember when Saban took the Bama job he referred to LSU fans as toothless coonasses. People complain about Miles with the media but Saban was far more evasive at LSU almost to the point of being disrespectful ( He was mentored by Belicheck and Parcells). Hell some people do not hate him for leaving LSU, they hate him because he is the coach at Bama.
quote:
Yeah, the guy left for an opportunity in the nfl, and everyone hates him because he didn't stay at lsu for the rest of his life,
It is not that he left LSU it is the way he left LSU. There is nothing wrong with saying " no comment", but when you stand up and say that you have no interest in a job and then announce on Christmas Eve that you are now taking the job and then mail in the last game you coach it leaves a bad taste. The fact that he then took the coaching position of the program that is hated most by the majority of our fan base was just the straw that broke the camel's back.
We all know that Saban was a great coach when he was here and is still a great coach at Bama. He is like that person who used to be your friend but always lied and now you can not trust him and that has led to hate.
re: What are the odds that LSU beats Bama and Bama Stays Ahead
Posted by OXID11 on 10/30/12 at 3:07 pm to Meaux Bettah
This was a topic last week.
It is possible, although all logic is against this. The computer polls at this point do not favor Bama ( Note: they did not favor Bama on Nov. 4, 2011 either but sure favored them on Nov. 6, 2011). We still do not know how 5 of the comp. polls determine their rankings and the human factor has become more agenda driven in the last 10 years or so.
In all likely-hood LSU will be #4 and Bama will be #5 with an LSU win, but after a 3rd place team in a conference played for a championship I will never take logic in college football for granted.

You're probably gonna need to narrow it down a little bit.
That would take all the fun out
A group of us will be camping out the night before with game day setting up. Just look for a group drinking beer at 7am while cooking breakfast
Come to the parade grounds and bring your own beer and liquor

I seriously have never seen so many Bama fans from Mississippi than the past 2 years.. and about 75% of them are female.
I don't understand.
People that have nothing to live for tend to jump on band wagons of what ever Team, Person or group that is in power to feel like they have power. It is the same reason that people liked Miami ( the U) back in the 80's and 90's and the reason that people gravitate to teams such as the Yankees, Cowboys, Steelers, Lakers, etc. but have no connection to that team.

yeah, about that. an LSU poster in this very thread said that he wanted to throw me down a flight of stairs
I can promise you that if he or any other fan does this they will have the 90-95% of LSU fans that are rational ready to throw him down a flight of stairs.
I hate Bama as much as any Tiger fan. I do however enjoy drinking beer with fans from other programs and partying during game day.
re: I regret watching Bama tonight...

They are not weak but they have not been punched in the mouth yet either. LSU has a very good defense a will be the best defense that they play. LSU has more than a punchers chance on Saturday night at home under the lights. Providing that LSU takes care of business and wins Bama could end the regular season and play only one ranked team (likely 2). As we all witnessed, when LSU played Washington, a team can look very efficient against an over matched opponent.
