Yeah. That one could be for the opposing team to touch on the way in. "The win is always out of the opponent's reach at Tiger Stadium."

Rich white people problems.
I'm just kidding.
Let me make a phone call and it should be taken care of by this afternoon.

I like the idea of hanging big Championship flags across the west side of the stadium and covering up that pipe. Could look really cool. A lot of baseball stadiums do similar. Would be easy and look awesome IMO

hey lets have a contest, free season tickets to the winner. How to best conceal the outhouse pipe and how best to improve the esthetics of a bunch of concrete and steel.

Blatant narcissism! I wish someone close to Scotty Moran would ask him to pull that POS sign down. I don't mind supporting and having my name on bricks, and plaques, but that is ridiculous.

Which is why I'm in favor of redacting photos of these things to make them palatable, like another poster humorously suggested for the GERRY LANE Champions Plaza brought to you by GERRY LANE and LANE ENTERPRISES.

I don't think it's a big deal like most of you do.
Posted on 8/21/12 at 10:38 am to manwich
the best answer is to just hang something on both sides.
Posted on 8/21/12 at 10:43 am to manwich
or they could hang banners of former tiger greats between the posts.
Billy Cannon, Stovall, Dorsey, Faulk, Landry, Peterson, Claiborne, Hodson, etc...

Low gloss (flat)black or gray bed liner. No need to repaint, ever. I'll buy the fricking can and paint brush from Autozone.

It isn't a PVC pipe.
It's a copper pipe with an insulating jacket installed to prevent freezing.
It could be painted, but it's 80+ feet in the air and it really isn't visable unless you really look hard for it.
But there are options to make it more or less visable. The best option would be to install another PVC jacket of another color over the existing jacket.
Maybe you could start a fundraiser to do that?

Drop a damned short "wall" from the structure to cover it (and one on the other side for symmetry).

Thanks. I've noticed that on my trips to NLa. I thought he may have some connection to T.J.

I think we should t sweat the small stuff. It's what's on the inside of the stadium that matters!
