Or are we not allowed to celebrate good coaching performances?

Every time a pitcher stuggles the Rant is filled with "Yeskie sucks" comments.

Sir, this a “fire Yeskie” message board. You’ve come to the wrong place. Hopefully I can direct you to where you need to go!

Especially considering what he was going through yesterday.

He really had a clutch visit to the mound in the first as well. And as we know from people on here, what he says has direct correlation to how the pitcher will pitcher following the visit. Therefore, he was masterful yesterday.

He did call a great game. The only issue I had was the first inning. Fastball to a lefty with the shift on (which I hate) made no sense. I am tired of the shift costing us outs and extra pitches. Cost us a double play last night and last weekend.

Don't take it personal. Half of this board wanted to fire Wes Johnson during the entire regular season in 2023.

People love to dog on his pitch calling (myself included) but he should get credit for developing Kade Anderson

Anderson made a big jump from last year. Hopefully Yeskie and Johnson get the rest of the pitching rotation and relievers figured out soon. I believe they will.

They flashed a stat last night that LSU was #3 in country for K’s by staff. Something is going right.

I absolutely love the way Kade picked Nate up after that first inning bases loaded no out mound visit. Tough situation for both of them knowing now about coach's Dad passing prior to the game

Same here, but last night was some of his best work. I thought his pitch calling last Saturday was off. Rizy couldn't command the slider and he called it over and over and over.
Last night was a masterpiece all around.

The Yeskie haters have been absent since the game yesterday.

Todd Walker called him on that in regards to pitching to the shift.

But, other then that pitch call everything else was a master class in calling pitches.

Not to take anything away from Yeskie but Anderson last night could make anyone look like a Genius.

Cade is certainly the real deal and with a Friday guy like that, we definitely can make a run at this thing.

The Oklahoma coach had a great quote on his in-game interview with the announcers… “good pitchers make the best pitching coaches.”

It was definitely a well called game. 135 total pitches is15 per inning avg. I’ll take that every time.

This is true and people also want to blame Yeskie when a pitcher doesn't hit his spot.

Message boards give far too much credit to coaches after a good performance and far too much blame after a bad one, generally.
