The way that they've been unable to put away teams after building up huge leads is indicative of that.
Except for the past two games and 4 of the 10 games they won by double digits in this winning streak

I think we can win the SEC title. I do not see us making it to the Final Four.

We can’t really compete with Duke Or Kentucky normally, They Bring in 5 Stars on 5 Stars. Their entire team is players with Trendon Watford skill level or better.
Those teams are good, but little continuity from year to year keeps them from being super dominant. Additionally, in a one and done tournament that talent advantage is somewhat mitigated.

I hope you’re right. We certainly have a chance to make a run in the NCAA’s and hope we get seeded in a bracket that suits our team.
Gonna be a fun 6 weeks as we wind down the SEC schedule and gear up for the dance. Getting excited that we are relevant again this year.
Geaux Tigers!!!

Do people celebrate simply making the playoff in football? Not sure why final 4 is viewed differently.

Id say your crazy, because i cant predict where we’ll finish until i see the bracket

It is wide open and Watford gets better every week. If we can keep our rotation healthy you never know.
A stud and health combined with how wide open it is this year could allow for a deep run.

Gonna need to shoot the 3 a hell of a lot better to make a tourney run like that. Would love to see it though

Yep, I do, last year shocked me

Making it to the sweet 16 this year would be exceeding expectations.
I think it is probably right around the expectation.

No. Lack of a true point guard will catch up with us against top competition

Why? LSU is top 10 in the nation in offensive efficiency AND points per game. Of course shooting the 3 better would help, but CLEARLY scoring is not a problem for this team.
Fun fact: Vandy is 4th in the SEC in 3 pt %. They are second in 3 pointers made per game. They also haven't won a game in the SEC this year.
If you look at the teams who get the most percentage of their total points from 3 pointers you will find a virtual who's - who of teams that won't be sniffing the NCAAT this season. Compare that with the teams that get the majority of their points from 2 pointers. The top four in that category: Gonzaga, Duke, LSU, Dayton.
When the defense locks in this team is very tough to beat. It's not a coincidence that two of their better defensive games of the season (vs. Bama and Ole Miss) also resulted in double-digit victories.

I don't see it, I want to but don't. Too small across the board and not quite deep enough but then again, have totally surprised me to date.

Too small across the board
We're going into game #22. I think it's probably time to retire this preseason narrative since the ACTUAL results suggest just the opposite.
Despite being "undersized", LSU is 8th in the nation in total rebounding rate. Other than Mississippi St. (which, to date, is the outlier) LSU has won the frontcourt battle against teams that clearly had size advantages. Most notably, USC and Florida. Both had at least two frontcourt players 6'10 and above. However, LSU won the points in the paint AND rebounding battles against both.
It's not inside where teams are hurting LSU. It's from behind the 3 point arc. LSU is 326th in the country in % of points allowed from 3.

People keep saying top competition but how many teams out there are realistically better than us? Not many.

Like Alt said, our results have shown this to not be a big deal. Secondly, we have plenty of size on the perimeter. Any lack of size doesn’t apply across the board regardless.

Very big feat but not impossible.

Gonzaga 38.9
Dayton 37.4
Duke 35.4
LSU 30.9
I understand there is a lot of parity but above is the difference between winning comfortably & putting games away vs going down to the wire with full out max effort twice a week against middling SEC teams like LSU has.
If you don’t start hitting at least near ncaa average, those close wins start to turn the other way when the competition improves

Am I crazy to say LSU BBall makes the Final Four this year?
Hope it's true but....
