It will be about the Lady Tigers’ offense. As great of a team S.Carolina is, they shot 39% from the field….LSU will need buckets in the worst way

What makes her even more tough is even when SC was double teaming her she was dropping dimes to her teammates for wide open layups. It's not as easy as "just double team her and make everyone else beat you".
As another poster said, we need that Garret Temple type defender where their only task is just take her out of the game.
Easier said than done.

Their center has not shot a 3 pointer this year. She probably doesn’t have a good outside shot. Their next weakest starter may be Kate N
Martin. Her yearly shooting average is really good, but she only shot 30% from 3 on away games. I’d sag off of her to make her do most of the shooting, unless she is shooting like she does at home. Then I’d consider sagging on Gabbie, because she doesn’t shoot much.

Did you watch the previous Iowa game? They doubled her at half court, which resulted in her finding wide open 3-pt shooters everywhere or Csiznano(sp) alone underneath.
You have to take your best on-ball defender and hope to keep Clark in front of you while containing the others. She will get her 25+. What you don’t want is for her to get 15 assists and get the rest of Iowa in a good flow.

We need to get physical with them down low, none of those easy driving layups that SC kept allowing. I’d have at least a second defender shaded on Clark all night and at least try to contain her. No one will stop her, but keep her scoring in the 20s and clog the passing lanes so she doesn’t go wild in assists, and we’ll have a shot. If you can do that and the rest of this Iowa team beats you, well, so be it.

If she’s going to beat you make her do it from outside. Don’t let her drive and dish. Their pick and roll game is great
