I give Alleva zero credit for hire Orgeron. That might have been the worst hiring process of all time. Between the way he fired Miles to the way he hired his replacement was a total disaster
I give him zero credit for hiring Wade as he basically was forced to and admits he thinks it was a terrible decision. And then the piece of shite suspends him right before our biggest tournament chances in years

I do give him credit for hiring best fit/available in Orgeron and Wade - Hindsight shows he did a pretty good job of hiring, but his public relations and his ability to handle other men with big egos, shows he wasn't a great or even good leader, but more of a talent scout and someone who would cave to popular opinion/political pressure.
His handling of the Florida game/hurricane and the Will Wade "Damn strong offer" situation were both atrocious.
I don't hate Alleva, but I think he should definitely show some humility and let things go without trying to make a comment to save face.

Alleva must have inherited J Edgar Hoover’s box of incriminating evidence to have even got the LSU AD position after the Lacrosse debacle at Duke.
To have expected any thing other than the mediocrity we endured from Alleva was irrational.

Like him or not Alleva had the GUTS to hire Coach O; and it is working out. He also hired Wade but didn’t handle the controversy. Not a big Alleva fan but U will give him his due on these moves.

Yeah, Will Wade. His “biggest mistake”. Mind you, this guy hired Johnny Jones and Trent Johnson. Orgeron has worked out but he’s the coach because Alleva bungled the whole search so badly to begin with

Actually Les Miles hired Orgeron.
Alleva promoted him because his head coaching search was a disaster, he got frustrated, and created a reason to gamble on O.
Thankfully O was ready, but I’m under no illusion that Alleva is a great judge of coaches.
