He does not check the "character" box (according to the Rants). Character is one of the main criteria for a new coach.
The people who complain about his "character" don't have any real evidence of him being an a-hole. They're just so used to PM cowering in the dugout that any coach who confronts an ump looks too aggressive. But none of them have seen his post game conferences or his media quotes. Because then you'd have to admit that he carries himself very well and always says the right things.

i still can’t believe people are complaining about how he acts during the game. Give me someone with passion and fire and goes to war for his players.

Y’all don’t understand. We have the best AD in the country and he’s got big balls. He understands if he makes bad hires eventually it’ll be his arse so he’s spending like a boss.

I don't believe it. Here in Tennessee he, his Dad, and family seem very much enjoying his career at UT.

Just because he is doing well there doesn't mean he can't be lured away, especially if the Tennessee offer doesn't include everything he wants and LSU is willing to go hard at him.

Yep. Scott definitely understands the concept “go big or go home.”

The offer does include everything he wants financially and in commitment to facility upgrades.

The BR sports media and the rant are confused by what a competent AD doing a coaching search looks like so they don’t know how to act and are jumping on every rumor like it’s the gospel because previously it was.

So much truth to this statement ????

I’m not even going to be surprised if woody is able to get Corbin. It would not be the first time he has pulled something like that off

Woodward may be keeping things quiet in Baton Rouge but the coaches in Omaha not so much. LSU now has an agreement with Arizona coach Jay Johnson. Sorry it took someone from Tennessee to break the news but hey it’s a great hire that fans can be excited about.
