I never gave up on them. Not until we lost Sunday in the Alabama series a couple weekends ago did I finally lose faith since we hadn’t swept an SEC series all year and needed to sweep Ole Miss. there wasn’t a single publication that had lsu sniffing postseason at that point in time. I certainly wasn’t shocked when we did it though.
I’ve gotten used to watching LSU turn it on in mid-May as LSU fans should realize. Statistically I think you’d be hard pressed to find a single college baseball program that gets hot more consistently than LSU come this time of year.

The experts weren’t SURE LSU wouldn’t make a regional. They didn’t predict they would make it, but they also weren’t making declarative statements that LSU’s season was over and they had no chance to make it. There is a difference between being doubtful and completely giving up.
