To the misinformed, it is not as simple as just doing this or that. By rule of Titke IX, whatever is done for the baseball program as far as facilities, similar things would have to be done to Tiger Park for the Softball Program. Some of you may say that Title IX is BS, but it is federal law and cases about facilities have been drvuddd as such. You can ask Skip Bertman as he has addressed our Coaches Committe meetings and spelled out the details of what they are up against. Money generated by the baseball program goes into an Athletic General Fund. One can not make a specific contribution to a particular program. The Coaches Committe for baseball as is the Gridiron Club for football and the Tip off Club for basketball specific fund raising arms that is approved by rule. Right now our aim is to raise money to build a specific weight room that would extend the batting cages Right Field where there would be more specific and organized weight training sessions as a team where it does not have to be shared with other programs. I invite to join thx Coaches Committe if you want to be part of the solution. We will have meetings again starting in September. There are a lot of benefits to membership as well as access that you get. Chris Guillot is the president and does a great job as well as people like Janice Guitreau and Coach Bertman.

Tldr, how are teams building million dollar stadiums and nothing has been to the box. Did you see what MSU is doing?

The point OP is making is that you have to keep pace with the competition in a tough conference. Doesn't mean we need a new stadium, but you should have some form of master plan and perpetual improvement process.

I think if you want a model, look to Arky as they have renovated/expanded Baum 3 times since it's construction. Hell, even State is renovating Dudy Noble at a cost of $40-50M over two (2) seasons.

Hate to be the grammar police, but what the hell...

Use AN before words such as "hour" which sound like they start with a vowel even if the first letter is a consonant. Also use AN before letters and numbers which sound like they begin with a vowel, such as "F" or "8". Remember, it is the sound not the spelling which is important.

Dude, really? Grow the frick up.

As I know you're "joking", telling someone to kill themselves is immature and makes you look like a total douche bag.

The Box is a beautiful, iconic stadium. What a stupid thread.

HOWEVER, one thing about it that annoys me is the fences with baseballs designed in them. Looks cheesy.

They are renovating to catch up to us. Alex box is a decade old. We have one of the best in the NCAA....and better attendance than anyone.

When Texas A&M spent $483 million on the renovation to Kyle Field, where did the $483 million go to women's sports? That's not how Title IX works btw

Why not renovate the dub and convert it into a sand volleyball facility as planned? that would be a renovation for one men's sport in return for the baseball renovation

This is probably a stupid question, but the big black board in the outfield at the Box, what is that there for?

It's a cheap batters eye. One of the worst in the SEC.

while this isn't the finished product, you can see that you can walk around the entire stadium and enjoy the amenities. it's not first on my list of box needs, but I think it's a nice touch

LSU always finds a way to cheap out on something. It's the worst batters eye in the NCAA and I'm sure they have some bs excuse for not replacing it. Just like having bleachers down the lines
