Derh what coach would want to come here derhhh- Cheerios

quote:

2) LSU (42-15 record): The last three LSU head coaches won a national championship here. The fact Ed Orgeron was one of them given his coaching struggles elsewhere might be one of the best selling points of how good this job is. This is the kind of job that big names coaches would fight each other to get.

Al.com is trash all the rest of the time, though.

Did I miss O getting fired? They’re talking jobs, not job openings.

In 2019, Orgeron assembled one of the greatest teams in all college football. He was no idiot then, he was the coach of the year. What the f@ck have you done? If he has lost his mojo then replace him but stop the insults.

If Bob Stoops is a candidate, so is Brian Kelly. Have you seen Notre Dame, lately? I agree, I think he's ready to leave and come to LSU where you don't even have to know how to spell calculus.

If there was another candidate with his resume that wasn’t an arrogant prick he would be my favorite. The more I think about the AD’s M.O. the more I think this is who he goes after. Imagine hiring a coach away from Notre Dame.

Hold that Tiger! Brain Kelly with LSU talent, recruiting base, resources, and QB room would be lights out!

He would definitely be able to hire a winning staff.

He filled in the puzzle, most of the work had been done. When it came time to rebuild the squad including the coaching staff that comes after great success, he has failed. But that’s the job at hand when you are an elite program. Even O says he knows the expectations.

And the OL won the Joe Moore award because Burrow made them shine all year. He was running for his life a lot but made all the plays to mask their shortcomings.

3 coaches in a row won a championship and 2 of them will go down as the biggest clowns in college football history. So whoever comes in has the tools and keys to make it an unprecedented 4th straight coach with a championship. That alone tells me it’s a fantastic job.

To see O as number 2 on the list of highest paid is kinda crazy. He can't be the dumbest one in the room if he got LSU to be that stupid to pay him that much. I know if came after the 2019 season but still he outsmarted LSU. Still crazy thou

I’d agree but I assume there was an escalator clause in his contract that made him the “X highest paid coach” after winning a NC.
