You don’t think there would be a lot of questions from the prospective head coach when clearly the AD wasn’t running the show after he had complete high profile failures with BK and Jimbo?
Having a new AD now that the hire will actually have long term interaction with is better than them signing on with a lame duck AD

I agree, and I think a lot of donors and fans will turn their backs on the program because they see the situation for what it is. Following up a lazy AD hire with an equally lazy head coaching hire will kill the program for the foreseeable future.

It was a lazy hire of a guy who is blackmailing the university and will be a bitch for the sitting governor as well.
Hire a guy that brought shame to LSU protecting his Godson that was physically abusing his girlfriend at the expense of LSU's reputation and people's health.

The man gave you his resume in like five sentences. As the 2nd in command, he’s had 18 national championships. He’s the standard. He’s the constant. We don’t know how many jobs he’s turned down. That’s a good thing, aside of end the Les Miles era, he has been a quiet giant. I’m excited about it. He’s had the best training ground to be successful in this role than anyone who I could have thought we’d hire.

This is a prime example of the rampant retardation on this board.
Maybe he and his wife, idk, let their young adult son self-determine his own future with their guidance and they didn’t force him to go where he didn’t want to go? If my parents had their way I would’ve never sniffed LSU. Luckily they checked their egos and supported me to make my own choice.
And a few posts above this shite, we see a “Verge is blackmailing LSU” comment. No doubt a snowball of retardation from the comments how Verge knows where all the LSU skeletons are buried so naturally he’s blackmailing the university to give him the AD job.
