Why is that? Was it a funding issue or just lacking in planning?
It was poorly planned, no imagination and no room for growth down the line.

LSU approved half a million in checks sent to SEC office for running onto football field before the other team gets to the tunnel.
Would have much rather seen that money go towards more covered seating at the box.

Lsu fans are the fricking worse. We have a nice stadium. Maybe win something before u cry about facilities every year. JFC
You must have never visited another stadium because The Box is middle of the road and continues to fall. It was behind the times when it opened.

At least we have real grass and real dirt, I went to a game in Lubbock two years ago and the entire field is turf, including the dirt areas. It’s simply painted brown.

Follow the money train.
1. Football
2. Basketball
3. Baseball (is traditionally LSU's best sport in terms of outcomes but lacks the easy dinero overall)

We just went to Alex Box last weekend and it's not falling apart by any means.
Yes, we know it’s not falling apart. Go buy a bleacher ticket for a mid-May day game then come back and tell us how comfortable you were.

I trust that Jay will be on it soon. He doesn’t seem that nonchalant about anything related to LSU baseball.
He’s made some comments already about not liking the retarded bullpen setup

I do not have an opinion on other schools stadiums. The “new” LSU stadium is just a bad design. Grace Hebert just isnt that good of a design firm. Projects like this should only use local firms for construction administration.

Skip isnt a fan of the new stadium.

Aggies should be saving that money to buyout Jimbo.

Well skip’s dumbass AD decisions are why he doesn’t like it lmao
The university needs to kick some sort of capital campaign that excites donors. We haven’t done shite in awhile while I watch ole miss fundraise for over 300 million in projects

DLR out of Des Moines designed Alex Box.

Basketball is in the works, unfortunately it will be a reno instead of teardown and rebuild

Chair backs would be a quick and easy upgrade

I guess they’ve realized they’re sure as hell never gonna be a football school so they’re going all-in on baseball.

What’s wrong with enhancing the experience for the people who pay out their arse to support the school?

I'm focused on a higher level of making Alex Box a leading collegiate stadium in the country. Chair backs is a bandaid but i'm focused on bigger picture of the stadium and atmosphere in totality.

Well building a shite load of suites around a sea of bleachers looks pretty fricking dumb. No one is saying chairbacks are the fix all solution, but it speaks volumes how our AD has failed MISERABLY when it comes to enhancing the fan experience…terrible traffic, terrible concessions, dull premium seating options, fricking bleachers, etc.

Damn. Idk where 8&4 will put that 60mill in the park but good for them.
LSU had some really cool ideas/plans preCovid (no I want divulge). It screwed a lot of them up. Only able to do 2 of them. I think The Box needs about 30-50mill in Reno to get back to the top. Players value the level of player amenities more than stadium amenities. Fans value the opposite alittle more, as they should to a degree.
Really hoping they don’t drop the ball on it when the time comes. I have been told that Woodward is a big baseball fan/understands the importance of Baseball. That and his past decisions, lead me to believe that it will not be the case.
