Damn. Idk where 8&4 will put that 60mill in the park but good for them.

LSU had some really cool ideas/plans preCovid (no I want divulge). It screwed a lot of them up. Only able to do 2 of them. I think The Box needs about 30-50mill in Reno to get back to the top. Players value the level of player amenities more than stadium amenities. Fans value the opposite alittle more, as they should to a degree.

Really hoping they don’t drop the ball on it when the time comes. I have been told that Woodward is a big baseball fan/understands the importance of Baseball. That and his past decisions, lead me to believe that it will not be the case.

That oppo home run just now by Skenes was crazy. Thought it would 1-hop the wall due to apex. Haven’t seen oppo power like that since Deichmann.

SC’s bones need updating and LSU is further along in that regard, which is why I put LSU above them. Wasn’t really thrilled about their stadium. Playing surface was avg. too.

Bama’s is very new but some of their facilities I wasn’t impressed with. I think LSU’s are better overall and more modern now. Their hitting/ pitching/ weight room is below ours. Locker room/lounge/medical room are probably nicer than ours at this point.

Jacob Pearson. Really bonded with his family and him. Parents were awesome. Was specifically assigned to him by Cannizaro. He told me “your the best at entertaining we got, don’t let him go in the draft”.

After getting briefed on all the guys that were coming that weekend, immediately communicated with my gf to get as many of her sorority sisters/friends ready to hangout Friday and Saturday.

Jacob was extremely sad when he told me that he was 99% sure he was going to the draft.

I pay close attention to recruiting. Always was enamored by it. Loved hosting recruits on their visits and trying to sell them on coming to school instead of the draft.

1. I’m interested in seeing the hitting approach and philosophy. Like others I want to see more controlled aggression at the plate and better execution than we have seen the last few years. I have only heard great things from players but I want to see them.

2. Strike throwing and low walk amounts. Handling of pitchers.

3. I’m interested in seeing who the verbal leader will be. Call Me Old School, but Who is the guy when it gets chippy in SEC play or maybe against Texas, isn’t scared to stand up MF*** the other teams pitcher/player. Probably needs a screw loose. You have to have at-least 1. (I don’t mean make a big scene, a lot of stuff is said without fans knowing).

Last, I’m anxious to see how we perform in the 1 run ball games. Your season is defined by how you do in these. You can deduct how our szn will end off the W/L record of these games.
