O granted Ross an interview in his office a while back. Now it's time for repayment in the form of a praise piece. Reciprocal back scratching.

So we’re ignoring Billy Busch and all of the support staff?

The ball is flying out of Jordan Jefferson's hand. Real crisp passes. Blew away the Manning brothers in morning drills. We comin'

WOW! that was alot to read. I'm not a hater and it is good to see O is using the resources if they are available. If they make the Offense efficient and use more of what most college football teams have been doing on offense in the last 5 years i'm all for it. My only concern is all the hands in the cookie jar on offense. If they can add all the new wrinkles and actually apply them at the start of fall practice then i think we have may finally see a modern offense at lsu where they use 5 wr's, throw to te's and rb's. I do think Most LSU fans are tired of the Promises, on offense, and just want to finally see it applied on the field in real games not practice.

I really hope we win a natty this year just so some of these dicks can slither back to their basement. They were miserable under Miles, miserable under Saban, and now miserable under O. frick em! I'm pumped up

I hope we win a natty simply by virtue of being and LSU alum and die hard fan. Whatever motivates you I guess

The miserable crap is such a tired response.

I am a hater, but I didn't mind anything he said. He's supposed to do all of that. Except for the blatant blaming of Canada for all of last year's problems - a guy he hired, at that. But I can't see how giving the coaches and players more information, earlier, is a bad thing. Dave Aranda has held back or has been held back, what is he trying to say? You always have player flux in college. I didn't realize he took away so much from the short time with Les: "Dave can be very multiple".

no "we" are not. but when "you" are touting the safeties coach hire as some masterful chess move, I think that speaks more to how desperate LSU fans are for some positive news, no?
and what is "all of the support staff"
sounds like some quasi-nebulous term just casually thrown around by fans on a message board.
here are the "facts" :
Ed Ogreron said he was going to get top flight coordinators.
What he really meant he was going to get Lane Kiffin. He did not have a plan B for what to do if he could not get Kiffin. So he tried to save face by hiring Canada, a Broyles award finalist, but a man with some red flags. due to a failure to properly vet Canada, Orgeron and Canada "mutually parted ways" after LSU forked over a million bucks to Canada just to go away.
then Orgeron hired a guy at OC who was on record saying "I don't want to be OC." (again this is a fact, not my opinion)
Orgeron also signed one of the lowest ranked classes LSU has signed since they started ranking signing classes, which is unfortunate considering he is an "ace recruiter". and as far as "locking up the state"...well a quick glance at bamas 2 deep for next season I see no fewer than 4 players from louisiana.
so yeah, while you are getting excited about fluff pieces about how next week the guys will be "flying around the practice field", some of us will be looking at the facts and trying to figure out how does LSU match their win total from last season.

We are entering peak sunshine pumper season. Pumpers usually disappear November-February then begin to appear after signing day and build momentum until August when LSU becomes the greatest team in history.

perhaps, but it does address what seems to be a running theme since the season ended which is putting a support staff in place. TRant has spoken often about Bama's mighty shadow staff and where we lack in that department. There is an obvious effort to rectify this deficiency. Whether you like the HC or not you should be pleased that there is an effort to build a staff that has been lacking. Saban is successful because he has an army. Saban is a great coach, but it's the Bama machine that allows him to be great.
It's been discussed that LSU had an all-star athletic department when he was here and most have moved on to success across the CFB landscape. Now we are saddled with Alleva and his band of misfits.
So, obviously we have some glaring deficiencies, but we should be pleased that we are at least building an infrastructure that will allow our coaches to be more prepared and accelerate their pre-game management.

Great coaches, great support staff, filled all the holes in the roster...no reason we should be any worse than 10-2. Geaux Eaux, Geaux Tigers!!

you mean like doug nussmeier ?
the funny thing is, nussmeier, whatever you want to say about his offenses, at least he has been an OC this millienium. can't say the same about Ensminger.

the giant glaring issue at LSU is quarterback. want to beat bama? have elite qb play. all the shadow staffers in the world won't matter if brennan/narcisse are trash.

Enjoyed that read. The shadow staff development is HUGE for us. Major piece of the puzzle. I think we'll better prepared and developed, all fhe way around. The staff is improved, no question. For the first time in a while, we're a team built around a DL, OL and QB. I like it...GEAUX TIGERS! Thanks for sharing.

What's negative about that? I read the article and that's the gist of it.
Incidentally, have you ever seen Saban so jovial and at ease? Wonder what's on his mind.
