AFR Host with inside information on Coaching Changes:

According to AFR Host, his inside sources have told him:
Unless House got an NFL job, up to kick off of bowl game, House was going to be retained. AFR host believes this with upmost confidence (his words)
With the bowl game going the way it did, and what "transpired after", including the Wingo video, decision makers at LSU started asking questions about the #18 and House interaction.
It became clear a big disconnect existed with Matt House and defensive players.
Tuesday night, the decision was made to let House and defensive staff go.
.."i'm telling ya'll, he was going to come back.." -AFR Host.
AFR Host believes Raymond is coming back and Bo Davis is coming if the $$ works.
Most likely candidates:
Blake Baker and DJ Durkin
No timeline on OC hire.
AFR Host also hearing potential high profile support staff coming in.
.."I don't want to be breaking news guy, I just want to be accurate."

The one thing that doesn't make sense to me about this narrative is, if House were all but sure coming back and the players very clearly hated him why did not many starters enter the transfer portal before the bowl game?
Is the culture that strong that guys that had no desire to play for the defensive staff just stuck around to play with their brothers? Maybe, and that would be awesome. More likely, to me at least, is that there was a very poorly kept secret inside the building that this was going to be the last game they have to play under House so that got some buy in to continue with the program going into '24.

There is absolutely NO WAY Kelly suddenly decided to fire House after another bad performance in an otherwise meaningless bowl game. The terrible defense had already cost LSU a real opportunity at a playoff run. One more bad game wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back. I'm not disputing what Matt's "sources" told him. It just appears his "sources" were very misinformed.
Orgeron had a far better relationship with the media because he absolutely needed them to campaign for him to get the LSU job. Kelly doesn't. And he doesn't really care about the media. He has the gravitas and, more importantly, the big contract do whatever he wants, when he wants, without concern for the media. Thus, the "sources" that used to have good information...don't anymore because HC doesn't feel the need to give them information about his program.

He is! I was too when I posted earlier that Shea stated on 104.5 Kelly is looking to sign another Dlineman and cornerback from the portal. I’m not interested at all in Moscona’s opinion, just in some of the guests on his show.
