Kinda sad tbh. Basketball just can’t get a solid fan foundation for some reason. As soon as excitement starts to build NCAA comes a knocking to drive us back down.

Well maybe not hire a coach who leaves a paper trail on how he paid players illegally. Then the NCAA won’t coming searching for major violations.

Basketball at LSU is always in a weird spot. It's always behind Football and Baseball in importance to the fans. It seems like every time it starts getting support, something knocks it back down. I really think we've got some very positive years coming up though.

Y'all are kidding y'all selves. Nothing knocked down lsu basketball during the Brady years except maybe Brady himself. But LSU had great support at times during his good years he produced here... He just couldn't sustain it for whatever reason.

Not likely with a terrible opponent. December is usually pretty bad for basketball attendance it’ll take winning a few SEC games for people to start showing up
Wade built a solid level of support but that pretty much went away once he was gone. It can be rebuilt though it’ll take some time

Umm what did Wade do that every other major coach in football and basketball haven’t been doing for decades? Also, all that shite don’t matter now they are pro athletes. Wade was only doing what he was taught and what the blue bloods of college basketball were doing..

LSU fans are too enamored with the relatively minor collegiate sport of baseball which nobody outside of a few states really cares about. When I was at LSU the basketball games were insane and a blast to attend.

The admin just doesn’t care about basketball and the fans know it. We don’t invest any money into the program, we don’t have an identity and we haven’t played an exciting brand of basketball outside of the Dale Brown era. Everything is cheap from the hires to the facilities. You’re never gonna have the Deaf Dome type crowds again because the admin puts zero into the program.
