Not gonna lie while I believe we are tier one there are many questionable teams in it.
I see about 3-4 teams I’d switch from Tier 1 and move and couple down a notch or 2.
Oklahoma State naw,
Penn State naw
Utah naw.
Iowa just no

Florida State and Texas yes, that is if we are basing it off todays output or possibly winning a title.

I wonder how much Okie St payed EA to force them to put OSU as a tier 1 school. That one doesn’t make sense to me

according to the tweet it’s based on AP poll finishes over the last 10 years. Cajuns had some strong years in the sun belt recently under Napier. Hasn’t replicated for Florida with 3 straight losing seasons

The team with the second most National Championships this century is a Tier 1 Football school, who would have thought it?

3 National Championships this century. Played for another National Championship this century with an undefeated record getting there. 2 Heisman winners this century.

LSU may not be as consistent as Ohio St. or OU record wise this century, but undeniably they are the second best football program of the last 25 years.

Texas is tier 2, but Oklahoma state is tier one?

Probably not putting much stock into these.

apparently there was a uniform metric for determining the tiers based on AP top 25 finishes over the last 10 years so I’m sure if you look at the final polls over the last 10 years it’d make more sense.

Definitely explains Iowa. Their division in the Big 10 is weak enough that they’ve had a number of 10+ seasons that I recall
