Sure, but it's ignoring the fact that he's been in this position before,

so he was lackluster in 2008 and 2009, yes. He did not start the 2010 season by doing the same bullshite he did in 2009 and lay an egg (although he tried to). He moved Russell Shepard to WR, put Peterson on return duties, etc. He also fired his DCs in 2008 and made a great hire in Chavis. What did he change in 2016? He was forced to hire a new DC for the 3rd year in a row after two coaches bolted for other schools. He kept Peveto on STs. He kept Cameron has OC. Harris looks worse than he did last year. The offense still shows no imagination. Face it, LES MILES IS DONE. That doesn't change what he did. He just is what he is and has shown he isn't going to change. College football is a different game now, and if Les doesn't want to change, then we can make a change.

Les had his chances. Chances I was glad he got. I hoped he would address the things he needed to in the offseason and come out and silence the critics. I hoped for and expected it.

But he showed his arrogance by his "frick you, I'm not changing anything" approach.

It was gut-wrenching to watch that same sloppy shite trotted out there Saturday.
Pride goes before a fall, and he's reaping what he sowed. He's got to go.

So why compare him to Miles?

because it took Mack Brown running Texas into the ground before their AD made a change because Mack was a nice guy who won a lot of games previously. The rest of us don't want to see Miles get LSU to that point. Prior to that 4 year run for Mack, he'd amassed 9 straight 10 win seasons. So two years into that run, you'd be the guy asking why on earth they'd consider firing Mack Brown. I think it's you that doesn't see the big picture because you want to dwell on what Miles once was and not what he is now

Most people who like Trump don't care that he's crazy and out of his depth.
Most people who support Miles don't care that he's crazy and out of his depth.
If Alleva hadn't let Less Smiles' buddy at Arkansas chump him in 2012, his fool arse would be gone after next season with no buyout!

OK, He's our Bobby Bowden if that makes you happy. It's time to move on. The game has past him by.
Yep, what have you done for me lately?

SEC records since 2011:

* 2012 6-2
* 2013 5-3
* 2014 4-4
* 2015 5-3

* 20-12 Total. That's about as mediocre as it gets.

Of course he padded his overall record with wins over all those Out of Conference "Sisters of the Poor" weaklings.

Thanks for the Memories Les, but it's time to pack it up and move em on out................

Fire Miles, honor him with a statue or something outside the stadium at some point, and hire Tom Herman ASAP.

LSU has the budget and everything in place for a coach like Herman. I listened to an interview with TH last year, and was impressed with his attention to the whole program's culture and commitment to excellence.

Miles talks about commitment to excellence and success, but doesn't demand it.

Herman would walk in and in 2 years have LSU back competing for championships.

Since it's so ridiculous for LSU fans to want Les gone, when will the ADs around the country make these hard core runs to hire him away from LSU? I'll hang up and listen.

Les is so awesome that his agent's phone must be ringing off the hook!

You brought the politics into this thread, get the politics out of this thread and into its proper place on the poliboard.

Thanks.

Les Miles fans don't have the balls to answer a post like this.

Not bringing politics in, just making an analogy to help explain the Miles sunshine pumpers. Supporters of both men have already decided they like him and refuse to consider any additional evidence. Which is why both have been as successful as they have thus far.

Here I'll try again

Bobby Bowden (big time winning coach at FSU) Last 5 seasons

2005: 8-5
2006: 7-6
2007: 7-6
2008: 9-4
2009: 7-6

He wasn't getting it done any longer

Fisher comes in
2010: 10-4
2011: 9-4
2012: 12-2
2013: 14-0 (National Championship)
2014: 13-1 (Playoffs)
2015: 10-3

FSU was content with just keeping their living legend around, but he wasn't getting it done.. even in his weaker conference.. His conference is actually way more competitive now.. and much stronger, but Fisher takes over and puts them back at prestige level.

Who knows what FSU could have been if Bowden had been out sooner.. but they would not have had a national championship again if he was able to continue..

If LSU was just losing 1 or 2 games a season then it's understandable.. Miles is now losing 4 and 5 games a season.. and even in the 3 loss seasons, LSU is not even competitive in those losses. They don't have a prayer in these blowouts. It's hard to watch.

How can you enjoy watching this? Oh wait, you aren't really a fan? How can you enjoy it for the players? Again, you aren't a fan if you support Miles still. If you want what's best for LSU, you would know it's no longer Miles.

LSU gets the talent alone to at least win 7 games a season.. just on the talent alone.

We will never know what could have been if we continue to just settle with Les.. just as FSU would have never known.

I am absolutely dreading our annual beat down from Arkansas, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

I still hope LSU figures it out and wins every single game though.. but it just sucks so much to come to realize we can't even be competitive against our divisional opponents any more..

The analogy is still politics and has no place in this thread.

And keep in mind I'm a regular poliboard poster myself.

You're wasting your breath and all that typing.

Ballscaster is one of those smug douches who can't stand his opinions and point of view being soundly repudiated in the court of public opinion.

I know his type and they're usually not very bright.
