It hasn’t rained here in 2 months. It can rain all day Saturday and the field is going to absorb it just fine.

Well with the double whammy of Josh Pate saying Bama by at least 14 and the 99.99% chance it rains Saturday I guess its a done deal and no need for me to make the drive from Alex to BR.

If you think the Ole Piss backs match Gibbs you haven't been watching this year.

Gibbs is a freak RB . Comparable to how great Harold Perkins is at Linebacker.

We need to stop Gibbs from taking 5 yard pass and turning it into a 60 yard run. He's that fast and that explosive.

I always thought the receivers have the advantage on a wet field. (they know where to plant, the db's do not.)

The running game is hurt by a wet field.

I disagree. A sloppy field takes away their speed advantage and deep threats. LSU's size on the interior DL will shine. Roy and Guillory are mudders... their mothers were mudders.

What about their fathers? Are you saying they like the slop? Sure bet?

I think this is a projection of the weather at 1PM local. The time in the screenshot is from 18z, which is zulu time and five hours ahead of CST at this time.

The overwhelming majority of Gibbs’ long runs and yardage are outside the tackles. Rain and wet field conditions are more beneficial to downhill runners, not edge runners.

And FTR, the Alabama OL is not the Alabama OL of past. They’re serviceable but not even close to great.

The bad weather is now forecast to be past Baton Rouge before kickoff. This thread is moot now.

The same issue for Bryce Young during a scrambling drill. I feel like Daniels and our RBs (except for Emery) are more north south runners.

Yea Daniels doesn’t cut, he slithers. That’s the best word I can come up with. Like minnow.

I watched Ole Miss and Bama play a common opponent. While both ran over aTm, Ole Miss was better. Check the stats.

Ok, let's have a little ban bet. I say Gibbs gets drafted before any Ole Piss RB. You got balls? You taken it?

He doesn't like stats, they prove him wrong. He just likes to post his garbage opinions and argues with anyone who disagrees with him. This is why everyone just ignores him.

If we aren't disciplined in our defensive assignments and sound in our tackling Gibbs can have a huge day. But with that said, this isn't exactly Derrick Henry and that 2015 Bama run offense. Texas held Gibbs to 2.4 ypc, Tennessee 4.3 ypc, Mississippi St 3.7. We're basically a middle of the road run defense in the SEC, but in reality we're a lot better than that. Take away the 81 yard Anthony Richardson run and we're allowing just 3.8 ypc. The opportunities to slow Gibbs down will be there.
