Joking btw. But, I've been there before...some rain projections, series win secured, phone blowing up, and you make a dumb decision. They have to be smarter, though. LSU baseball is a big commitment. May be a learning experience for the whole team.

So were hellmers and gio benched for some extra curricular activites saturday night, or was it a sunday rest for them? Same question about wyeth/travinski with doughty going in instead
Dont really see the point of being coy about it. No one covers lsu baseball well enough to let us know what actually happened

I think he said Wyeth didn’t travel. Just leave Milazzo in But I thought he said Fowler didn’t travel, either, or maybe it was Millas that he meant.

Wyeth didn’t travel. I didn’t think Fowler did but was obviously wrong about that. I haven’t heard anything about Hellmers not being available. I’m just like everyone else on that one, confused as hell.

There are lots of other ways to punish players' bad behavior than by them missing a game and hurting the team's chances of success. Supposedly, you can't run players at 5:30 a.m. due to some NCAA reg but you can make them do the laundry, pick up/put out the equipment, pick up trash in The Box, spend more time in study hall, etc. Make it hurt without hurting the team and the season.

At progressive LSU, we only care about whether or not a coach has had inappropriate contact with anyone other than their spouse. If manieri is a safe hire, we’ll keep him because that’s where we are as a progressive university. Records and shite be dammed

Nothing will happen until ticket sales drop or drastically change for worse. Fans right now are angry, when their emotions change to not caring that’s when you you’ve lost the fan base.

Why would Wyeth not travel? You bring your bp catcher instead knowing you have a catcher not 100% healthy and another catcher that hits little to zero? so yea bring the bp catcher in case we get in a bind??? logically i would bring my 3rd string catcher and make him the bp catcher for away games IN CASE i need him. with b.doughty you have nothing in an situation like sunday.

This is one of the dumbest posts I’ve seen in a while.

Are you complaining that LSU cares if our coaches are sexually harassing student workers?

We literally did the opposite.

Why would Wyeth not travel?

You are limited in the number of kids who can travel.
So who do you take? A catcher that has started a little, who had hit a little; or do you take your bullpen catcher?

They used to do the same thing with that walk on kid from Jesuit that was the bullpen catcher. They waste a weekend spot on a role that other schools fill with a non-rostered equipment manager/student assistant.

I actually thought that you could bring your bullpen catcher as like a manager, and it not count against the travel limit. Oh well. But, I agree. Other than being nice to your senior, Braden Doughty shouldn't be traveling for the SEC schedule much less put into a close SEC game. I believe Bianco and Crews can catch in an emergency. Milazzo should have just stayed in the game.

Safford as well.

They all got work behind the plate in the fall in the event of a COVID issue depleting the roster.

Just another example of mismanagement from Napoleon. He won't change a thing. Just continue making the same mistakes that he doesn't see as mistakes.

What was wrong with PHing Drost or another guy who had plenty of ABs? Then put Doughty in as your last option.

He threw a one-hopper to the Crews in CF on a steal. He shouldn't have been in the game. His spot in the order would have come back up later anyway.

honestly you take Wyeth and if you don't know that after watching b.doughty for FOUR years then i cant explain that to you. there is NO reason b.doughty should travel sorry. just the truth and thats whats wrong with so much! The truth is blocked bc of the world we live in where you cant hurt feelings. get tough. accept it. nothing against b.doughty bc he did not make the decision, it is def a coaching mistake on that part. not to bash or get on the fire train bc i am not about that. just poor coaching decision in many parts of game 3 and obviously on who travels.
