We mismanaged the the staff going back to the mid-week game.

This is idiotic. There is no long game. He is coaching for his job right now.

He's not coaching like his hair is on fire, that's for sure. He's treating this like any other season.

In every interview CPM says “one game at a time”. But yet he doesn’t put his team in the best positions each game.

Expecting Omaha every season or every other season is no longer, I think, a reasonable expectation for any college program.

State, Ark, and Texas Tech went to Omaha the past 2 season and one if not all three will most likely make it to Omaha this year.

Not only that. The kids have to be demoralized. Up 2-0 in the series with some momentum then lose by 9. Doughty throws a one hopper to the CF on just a routine throw down. Fowler gives up a 450 ft bomb. I bet they feel great about being given the opportunity to embarrass themselves and their teammates.

Jesus Christ, dude. This isn't travel ball. CPM makes over $1.2 million a year.

Right. Which is why he gives players the day off when he feels they need the day off, so as to not cause additional injuries.

We have a poster who has given inside info before who said they sat for a reason unrelated to health. I believe him.

There are no days off when you are scrambling to make the postseason. You have to win every game you can.

I can appreciate this. I want us to play our best ball when it matters most.

But we do not have the luxury sitting at 3-8 (pre-game) to play the "long game." We are in jeopardy of not even making the field.

this ain’t the big leagues where you sit a guy to give them a breather day Bc they are playing 162 games over the course of what 180 days? They have an off day tomorrow and you can sit them for the mid-week if health is a concern. You are 3-8 in league and need to win now what a dogshit excuse you are using for Paul.

The long game is to win every game because now you have to. There’s no room for giving games away.

Isn’t that why they don’t practice on Monday’s?

That's complacent logic

Florida head coach has taken them 7 out of his 14 seasons. Compared to CPM 5 in 15 seasons.

LSU baseball is the best and should never lower standards. Bama doesn't lower standards in football. Duke/Kentucky/Kansas don't lower in basketball.

If he's still playing the long game with the pitching staff in April, he's even more idiotic than I thought. He's had the fall and non-conference to evaluate these arms, and anybody less than an idiot can see that Fowler shouldn't have been left in. Hellmers and Edwards need the innings, too, as freshman. I hope he's not playing the long game with George, Viet, and Doughty - George is nearly 24 yrs old, Viet and Doughty are nearly 23 years old.

Funny how several of us knew after the Tennessee series we would have to loose for us to make coaching changes. We got torched for speaking out, but a few weeks later others say the same thing and they get tons of upvotes....ridiculous.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to determine that when we lose we need a new coach.
