How long will we have to deal with Will Wade threads?
I wish he was still here.
However, you are comparing apples and oranges.
Will Wade had blue chip players because he paid them all.

You're absolutely right. I loved watching LSU win under Wade though I never ever noticed what came close to an organized offensive plan. But then Wade subverted the program himself, and just to show how dam stupid this was, it was bout 6 months before he could have accomplised it all within the rules.
Wade had it all right there before him. He had the Tigers humming and they would be for a long time and then he just got stupid.
I really hate saying all this because I really like Wade and the excitement he brought back to LSU basketball. Now we're starting all over again, but this time under closer scrutiny. So McMahon is trying to do things the right way and it'll take a bit longer. But some numb nuts here refuse to give it the appropriate time.

Doesn’t matter. Allegations were made against the basketball program. Wade was asked to answer and couldn’t.

FFS they weren’t tapping his calls, they were tapping the calls of people he was talking to. You do not have a right privacy when talking to someone else that is under investigation whether you know it or not. As long as the warrants on that guy were legal, which it appears they were. Lesson be careful who you talk to and what you say.
Whether the investigation was worthwhile or frivolous is irrelevant or at least a separate discussion.

It's just amazing how many folks defend Will Wade, Chris Beard for all the dumb fricking things they do and putting their programs in purgatory. But no, who cares as long as they are winning.
Hell, why not bring back Jerry Sandusky and Larry Nassar if they can win National championships and Olympic medals.

Wade was giving money to kids, against NCAA rules at the time but not a crime. But sure that’s totes the same as 2 sexual predators assaulting kids over decades

Wade did not win the SEC in his 2nd year. LSU was forced to vacate the bought title. The NCAA, SEC nor LSU recognizes it.

no it isn't. its why wade likely assumed his conversations were private. why would the feds care about basketball recruiting when there are real issues for them to deal with? SDNY should be dealing with terrorism not recruiting.
it was perfectly reasonable for wade to assume his conversations were private. NCAA doesn't have the authority to listen in.

You’d have to ask them but it’s irrelevant to whether Wade was guilty of NCAA violations or that he is no longer coaching at LSU and is not coming back

He can assume all he he wants, he was talking to people that were being investigated by the FBI, that he did not know that is not their or the NCAA’s problem. He was not fired for breaking the law so any 4th or 5th amendment protections do not apply to the NCAA or his employer
