Unfortunately for everyone we have idiots that would believe this is the case. Miles gets paid very little(relatively) as a state employee - I think like 350K.......the money to buy him out would come from private sources.

It's very doable. If we lose 4 or 5 games, the ship will be Titanic like and with this economy, people will cut back. People aren't going to spend a couple of thousand a year to see close games against cupcakes and losses to the powers in the SEC. Lose any more power in the conference and the loss of money will become noticeable like it was in the 90's.

Yeah, because so many people ragged on Miami for firing Coker....
And for Miles to get to 59 wins in 6 years, he will need to win 5 more games this year.
That is definitely NOT a given.

Perhaps, but the folks who pay his salary (TAF members) aren't going to put up with his BS, especially if we continue to embarass ourselves. Think about how much money is being lost with this PR nightmare of a coach. I don't give the "big bucks", but I have 6 tickets, and on top of the mandatory donation I throw them a few dollars each year. Why should I throw them anything additional to watch the crap on offense we witnessed last night? Now times that amount by several hundred and it probably comes out to a pretty nice chunk of change.
In addition, the next time he calls the fans out he may want to remember who pays his salary. If he wants his leash to be even shorter, continue to alienate the fans. He can ask john brady how well that works out.

Unfortunately, we have an idiot driving it 10 mph in the slow lane.
There are lots of guys who have the confidence and ability to drive this team and would relish the opportunity to do so.

Who said if it comes to a buy out that we just demote him to a special teams coach or something and hire a new coach and let him leave on his own and then we will not have to do a buy out. Could this be done?

His buyout would be around 7 mil after this season. I'm sure LSU could nagoiate that number as well. They could also pay him over several years too. If Miles doesnt win at least 8 games with at least one win over florida, alabama, or arkansas, he is finished.
