Murray and Pinson are the only 2 I wish would have stayed. I find it hard to believe that Reid will ever find success at the college level. He was way overrated coming out of HS.

If you replaced Pinson and Murray and Gains
For Hannibal, Hill, and Williams….. this season turns out much differently

Gaines would have been nice to keep. He’s gotten better every year he’s been in school.

Gaines was better than any guard on our team this year

Gaines would have been nice because he was aggressive driving the lane while at LSU but he was a turnover machine and didn’t have a great outside shot. Had he improved those areas of his game, he would have been nice to have back. This team really lacked a true outside threat to shoot. Murray and Pinson would have been those missing pieces. You know it’s bad when your biggest outside 3 point threat is your down low big man in KJ.

Reid starting and Eason coming off the bench makes Wade look really bad.
How many games did we get off to terrible starts in SEC play.
Only thing I can think is that Reid was promised to start with his illegal NIL deal at the time

Xavier Pinson's program is shut down and the Georgetown program is in free fall. They would have fared better just staying here!!

Tell me you are an idiot without telling me you're an idiot. Reid and Eason didn't play the same position. You swap them, and everything about game plan and playing style needs to be changed.

I would have liked to keep Shareef. He could have played center allowing KJ to play more pf. He was also a much more aggressive offensive player than any of our big not named KJ.

This is a terrible troll post. Wade talked about the dynamics of his rotation. By not starting Eason, he was exploiting matchups when subs came in. LSU’s best player enters, he has more favorable matchups by attacking substitution patterns, and you keep an aggressive player out of early foul trouble. Wade addressed this and explained his rationale cogently during press conferences last year. It was a smart play and enabled by Tari’s team first no drama attitude.

Gaines play out of control at time. But he knows how to move the ball around

Yeah I don't get why they bailed. A lot went to lesser programs.

Gaines was really missed on the defensive end, and he would have brought that swagger in the locker room.

I know it's unscientific because of the level of competition those seven defectors played against and their minutes played, etc. but all together the seven players had 60.9 points per game together.

He came in raw but had elite speed and great defensive instincts. He was developing nicely though and would’ve been a great help had he stayed.
