Have y’all seen the info from the NOA? This thread is pure hopes and dreams. Guy was texting fiancée’s of former players and paying her to keep her mouth shut in 2017. Refused to turn over financial records three separate times that could exonerate himself.
Told the investigators that his wife handled the finances even though texts clearly show he did.
Dude was paying kids out of his family checking account. Like an idiot.
He may have been a great coach. But as a criminal mastermind he couldn’t coach a crime syndicate to steal kid’s lunch money effectively.
The reason this took so long is that Wade purposefully drug this out over the past few years. The other coaches cooperated more readily and so those NOA’s went out.
This guy didn’t. He is going to get hammered by the NCAA as a result.
Is everyone doing this? Yep. Is it fair? Maybe not.
But this was some Mickey Mouse Club amateur hour bullshite on his part. He drug his feet to collect a paycheck as long as possible by delaying the inevitable. He screwed his employer worse in the process he put investigators and LSU through.
You folks need to spit the bit. This guy was a decent coach who had zero idea of how to cheat like the big dogs do…and he and LSU are gonna pay the price now.

Is it against NCAA rules to offer a recruit 'a strong a$$ offer'? That could mean anything. Is there anything that was said that attaches money to that offer.
He could have been offering numerous other things....top coaching, top gym facilities, whatever
LSU most assuredly should have made NCAA tell everyone just what that 'strong a$$ offer' actually was.
Lol @ for still thinking this is all behind that strong arse offer comment.

The fact that LSU caved to the NCAA is why LSU's basketball program will never been a champion. Seriously, you cannot win a championship without best players and those are being paid by the blue bloods. I am more disappointed in LSU's unwillingness for a fight than anything else.

Why would LSU fight for Wade being stupid?

Has had his one eye on WW all this time. He and Pat Forde have some sort of unexplained hard on for him, while ignoring the same shite being done by the Blue Bloods like K and Self. frick both of those assholes.

Wade’s attorneys or advisors likely had him convinced that his personal accounts were somehow off limits.
At the time of his last suspension, no language was used to indicate innocence. There was only an applied lack of evidence of guilt.
LSU admin has likely been on edge, knowing that this was coming. It’s just too bad that LSU could not have gone through replacing him and revamping the program through the two COVID-affected years.
LSU is bigger than Will Wade.

Now tell us which cases had evidence ties directly to the head coaches providing payments and inducements?

Its not about Wade. Its about an uneven system where the NCAA turns a blind eye to what the Dukes and Kansas does to protect their income stream, but comes down on LSU for doing the same thing. You cannot compete for championships under those circumstances.
LSU should have come out in support of paying players for their services properly.

I personally don’t think they have anything and have been trying to sabotage Wade for 4-5 years now. I don’t even see LSU having to self impose a postseason ban either.

Wade did not have the support of the university. fricking bs

If LSU didn't have the title nine issues to the side, I really believe they would have taken a tougher position. USA Today was no friend of LSU when it came to the big picture.
