I know who ULL is. USL has existed since 1999. And how exactly does a person “sit down a shut up”?

I like Napier a good bit, but we can't omit that he was fired from Clemson in his second year for putting out an absolutely atrocious offense.
Do we need a refresher on how close Dabo was to getting fired? Napier was his fall guy. Clemson fans wanted to run Dabo out of town in 2010. It was fire assistants or we fire you.

Stronger resume than Lincoln Riley at the time of his hire at Oklahoma as well.

not gonna lie......this post really makes me like this guy

He is on the list and I would be happy with the hire, but he is not at the top of the list.

All aboard the Napier train
He’s my #1 even over Fickell. Hot take

I’d be happy with Napier or Fickell. Those are my top 2 candidates of all the names I’ve seen thrown around on here.

Those are my 2 as well really. I don’t want Lane or Hugh Freeze.

Dabo fired him within a year or two.
I totally forgot he went back to Bama though. I posted in another thread he was only under Saban for a year. Clearly I was wrong. Glad you pointed this all out.

people say can’t hire Napier because he’s at a G5 school but then go and claim they want Fickell
If Napier coached at Cincinnati and Fickell coached at ULL, the same idiots would be saying they don't want Fickell.
It's some petty shite.
Napier's not my first choice, but I wouldn't write him off just because muh WE AINT HIRING ULLs COACH!
It's not a "one of us" situation no matter how much they keep trying to make it one.
O must have scarred them bad to not want to hire anyone within a 200 mile radius of Louisiana.

Why did you leave out that Dabo fired him? And then Dabo won the Coach of the year award, the very next year?
And that each time Napier left a Power-5 school as coordinator, their W/L record got better?. Much better in most cases
Several REALLY important details to 'forget', doncha think?

He has admitted that he was young and immature and likely handled that season in a poor manner. This is not Ed O saying “I’ve learned from my mistakes” without actually having a chance to show that. Napier has had other OC experience since then, and now a few years with head coaching experience to prove he has handled adversity better.

Here's another interesting note. Napier's last year at Bama was also the last year of their TE coach (Cristobal) and OC (Kiffin).
As for Bama, he was an offensive assistant/analyst in 2011 and left to be the AHC/QB coach at Colorado St and Saban hired him back as WR coach in 2013. Apparently Saban liked him enough to hire him twice.

Wow. That is impressive.

I addressed it later if you read the thread. He was the youngest OC in CFB and Dabo was second guessing him and changing plays. Who is Dabo firing for the 112th ranked offense this season?
Why did Saban hire him twice? Saban must be an idiot right?
