My friend, Chris, who is always wrong and hates LSU, wants Napier to be the coach.

If Napier ends up getting the job it's because AT LEAST three other candidates turned it down
Right now, he'e the chunky gal in the club that gives good head but it's not even 9pm.

Dabo fired him
Dabo was about to lose his job. Also, Saban hired him after this. Twice.
Which one of those two coach’s opinions you think holds more water here?
Nothing at all like being fired from Ole Miss after being impressively abysmal & never being a HC again until successfully pulling off a coup as an assistant under another moron.

If coaching changes board gets fired up, I’m nominating this for sticky.

Saban did immediately hire Napier after Dabo fired him.
AS WR COACH. He was never more than WR coach at Bama. Does no one care about this fact?

Napier can sure fire up the locals in Lafayette....
This is what 19,000 looks like for home games.
(Its actually only 6,000 as the guy in charge of attendance is always drunk).

What about leading the nation in red zone conversions as OC at Arizona St or as a first time OC at Clemson leading them to their highest season point total in school history? McElwain also hired him as an OC and AHC at Colorado St.
While at Bama he was the WR coach under Kiffin so I'm sure he learned from Kiffin and can incorporate his style without Kiffin's baggage.
As a HC:
quote:
UL athletic director Brian Maggard saw Napier as someone well beyond his years. He speaks deliberately and takes copious notes.
The only person Maggard says he has ever met like Napier is Bill Snyder, the white-haired dean of coaches who retired from Kansas State at the age of 79. But most of all, Maggard was impressed by Napier's vision.
He came in with a plan. He was determined to beef up the Cajuns' support staff à la Alabama, and because they couldn't afford the same salaries as Saban, he relied on volunteers and young coaches eager to get their start.
His staff meetings even look like Alabama's, with Napier surrounded by some 40 people each morning as he outlines the day ahead. And that's not counting folks in the weight room and nutrition staff, which basically didn't exist before his arrival.
Before a practice recently, a staffer who spent time at Alabama was asked how Napier and Saban differ. He thought for a minute, then another, then shook his head in defeat.
"One guy coaches offense and the other coaches defense," he says. "That's it."

LSU needs to stay away from Napier. He is right at home here in Lafayette!!!

Totally agree. And UL-L is right at home playing the Ark State and N Texans of this world.

In this day and age. The coaching, recruiting won't matter.
How are his emails from 10 years ago ??? Does he satisfy the criteria of the woke Nazi's out there ???

Screw Napier, he is not qualified to coach LSU.

Be very careful with Napier. I have watched a decent amount of ULL games over the last several years, and there are a few things that Napier does in each game that is bona fide retarded. The man is a great coach, but he has some fatal flaws like it's something he just can't help himself from doing. He largely gets away with these things in the Sunbelt, but in SEC parity play he would get destroyed for some of these decisions.
One example is where he'll call for a squib letting the other team just fair catch at the 35, or calling for an onsides kick when there's no reason to do it. And the list goes on. Just saying, be careful white knighting for this guy. I'm not sure he's the right fit even if we strike out on our first 2-3 options.
