So I was born and raised in BR and went to LSU. But, I moved to Los Angeles in 2013.

When I go to the gym I wear an LSU shirt of some kind about 50 percent of the time. Today, a guy saw me and said "Hey big win yesterday." We talked for a minute and he talked about how impressive Skenes, Crews and White are.

As we're talking, another guy walks up and asks if I'm from Baton Rouge. Then he said "The city of champions. Women's basketball, and baseball. You think football is next?" I said I hope so and then he said "I'm a Buckeye. We got screwed against Clemson in that semifinal but I don't think we really had a shot against LSU." He also said he thinks Burrow will be the first ever to win Heisman, National Championship, MVP, and Super Bowl.

I don't know if it's true that no one's ever done that but I'll say this... We're officially entering the most golden of golden ages for LSU sports baws.

It’s hard not to love LSU, and that is beyond my purple and gold bias.

LSU is usually pretty good in most sports, travels well, has fun and friendly fans, and provides a great atmosphere home and away.

The athletes all seem to have an unbelievable level of swagger and are always great ambassadors for the program when they leave.

I had a similar interaction in 2020 in San Diego. Was grabbing some breakfast on a weekend with friends and coworkers and while waiting to be seated a random guy waiting in line comes up to me because I’m wearing an LSU hat and we start talking ball, both football and baseball.

Southern California is an underrated place when it comes to baseball fans and culture, I’m talking about every level.

Now that’s progress.

Last time I was there people had no idea where Baton Rouge was so I said it’s about an hour west of New Orleans, then asked if we were still under water.

100 percent. People out here couldn't believe I wanted the bar to put one of their thirty TVs on the Saints game while the Dodgers were playing.

Lol reasonable buckeyes are hard to find. LSU would’ve beat them by 40 in 2019

I dont think people understand how baseball crazy California is, college and pro.

And Skenes, Thompson and Hurd (and a couple of other guys) are from California.

If they love it so much, they should go watch it. Only Oregon State and the Arizona schools draw more than 3K/game: NCAA Baseball Attendance

Couldn't agree more. 2019 started the fire. Kelly, Mulkey and Jay just keep throwing more logs in.

I have been in LA since the late 90's. Wore the Purple and Gold to work today and got a few "Go Tigers" at the Century City Mall when I was at lunch.

The amount of great college baseball in Southern California is fantastic. UCLA, Pepperdine, Fullerton, SDSU, Long Beach all have good programs. USC could be a powerhouse again if the administration paid any attention to the program.

South Louisiana, USC and College Baseball are all connected by Rod Dedeaux.

Fullerton,

are they in a slump lately? Haven't heard as much noise about the program in the past few years?

Flew into Chicago today, instead of regular pencil neck button down , wore my LSU button down and got Go Tigers departing Cleveland and walking through O’hare.

Texting my buckeye buddies at 6am..” great day to be a Tigah”….. they’re a salty bunch …. Told em FL St. Is next

If they love college baseball so much, why are the stadiums for UCLA, Stanford, USCw so small? There is a lot to do out there, so I can see why no one goes to games at those & similar other universities, but don't get the "love". Standford is a legit power house, going back decades, but when Moo State played out there in a regional a few yrs ago, they couldn't believe how small the stadium & environment was.
