A break from the legal talk......was anyone else concerned with Leavitt's ball security?

Some players are simply predisposed to carrying the ball loosely, but I found myself holding my breath every time he scrambled. I went back and looked at his stats and he's only fumbled 4 times in 24 total games, so it may not be a big deal, but he also hasn't consistently gone up against SEC defenses.

I am worried about his Passing Efficiency in tight games.

thought this a few times as well...also the dude looks like a rag doll when he gets hit...limbs flailing everywhere... I'm just worried cause I care Sam!

Did he have fumbling issues at ASU? If not I'm not gonna be worried about it. I'm more worried about batted balls.

I think Leavitt has a feast/famine aspect to his game, obviously with the feast part more likely. I think he's going to do some mind-numbing things, though, trying to make plays.

I know it comes with a guy that runs a lot, but I’m more conferenced about his health. Don’t get me wrong, his runs were electric, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t pucker up a little bit as he’s pin balling into the end zone

This can be addressed through work on throwing angles and pass protection. The throwing angle / trajectory is harder to address. Pass protection can be adjusted for timing routes at least. That is a matter of gelling.

Yea, that too. It was a little bit of a relief to see Clark come in and the offense not miss a beat. I would be shocked if Clark does not have to come into a game this year (and not because of a blowout).

I wish he’d tuck it in but won’t be concerned until and unless fumbling becomes a problem.

He's only lost 2 fumbles in his entire career.

I've watched just about every game he played at ASU. What you saw Saturday is who he is.
