Agreed.
Like I said during the game, he kinda feels like pre-injury Mauck when he runs. But with the ability and the offense to pass like post-injury/ '03 Mauck (for better or worse). Hopefully he isn't turnover prone in big games. Cuz this here's a squad, my baw!

Yes. If you look at this tape from AZ State, he looks like he would fumble alot. Also, he always carries in his right hand, even when running to his left.

Not a fan of his throwing mechanics. Big wind up reminds me a bit of Tebo.

He holds it out in one hand to assist with his peculiar but effective running balance. He is not looking for a soft spot to land but to think first down or TD. He is very wary of where the opposition is, albeit it’s definitely problematic from a blind tackler.
As someone pointed out, the blocked passes are a bigger problem. Opposition defenses now coach this especially to tall defenders. Eyes on QB if you can’t get to him.

I am concerned that running that much increases his potential for injury- he needs to slide more

Yes, I noticed it on the first couple of runs but I also saw Kiffin talk to him on the sidelines after his first touchdown run and he seemed to be tucking it after that.
