Moral victories are great

But 9-4 isn’t a good record.

There is notnway of spinning it.

That’s below program expectations. Losing 4 games 9 points means we can’t finish.

He was being sarcastic

Everyone who predicts anything less than a championship is being told they aren’t LSU fans cause they don’t think O jizzes gumbo.

9-4 is a great season under Coach O.

If you haven't heard, Les Miles left LSU in shambles. Recruiting was ranked in the low hundreds, pass blocking was not being taught and dogs and cats were living together.

We as a fanbase can start judging the Ed Orgeron tenure sometime in the year 2525...

You can pretty much guarantee a loss to one of these. Could very easily lose two. I have absolutely no idea which one it will be, but they'll drop at least one. My money is on Florida with Mullen eating O's lunch. After that, I'd say A&M with Fisher being the only reason they'd finally get that W against LSU.

Considering we're in the SEC west, playing Miami, and transitioning new QB's and a new offense I think 9-4 is a pretty good season. Not elite, but pretty good. Next year the expectation is for improvement, especially on offense with the maturity of the QB and a lot of young talent.

I think Fisher and Mullen both lack a QB close to capable of running their offenses.

Nope, that was 2017. 10-2 or better is the expectation for 18.

Ed doesn’t get another year of not expecting improvement just because he screwed up with Canada.

I would rank the games in terms of difficulty:
1. Home vs Alabama
2. @ Auburn
3. Home vs Georgia
4. Neutral Site vs Miami

I don't think Georgia will be as tough as last season as winning @Auburn.

Mark Richt teams are usually weaker at the beginning of the year. He always had early season losses at Georgia that bit him. I think it is better that we open with Miami than getting them later in the season.

@Auburn will be our toughest game besides the home vs Alabama.

we accepted no longer being a championship program the day we announced O as head coach. So 9-4 is a solid season for LSU now

When you start putting qualifiers on the quality of something you know it’s not good.

7-6 is a great season IF you are a shitty football program or IF you have no talent.

It doesn’t make it a great season

Just like last year. Only "good" teams we beat last year were Auburn (gift-wrapped by Gus who is a moron) and Texas am (lol).

4 of the teams we beat fired their coach.

The easiest way to let a program sink is to let up on expectation.
I am Not saying 9-4 gets o fired.

It isn’t an inexcusable season, but it isn’t good. At this point in LSU football history 9-4 isn’t something to get excited about.

“keeping Les”

LSU firing miles, at this point in time, was a Mistake given the fact it’s been costly for LSU in the checkbook, in recruiting, and in L’s with little to no program benefit.

It’s amusing 10 win seasons not long ago were looked down at, but now a 9 win season is not only acceptable But to be appreciated because we play a hard schedule. Like, LSU has never played a hard schedule before. lol

If 10 wins was demanded ibefore, 10 wins should be demanded now.
